[Gangnam Dental] VLOG 2. Finally decided to get braces (orthodontic treatment)

what did we get? So this is your wax. So when you feel pains on, because of your bracket, you can attach it to your gum. And this is the brush, toothbrush, and then, how can I say, this, the small brush, like a toothpick. And they gave me this cute little bag, too.

You guys, all right, guys. Hey, it's Joe. I'm in my bedtime clothes. You all know what's about to go down: sleep. But I wanted to get home and just kind of share with you what happened the rest of the day.

So I ended up going to the dental office today, and I was actually trying to cancel because my, uh, where I got my tooth extracted still hurts pretty bad, and I was not wanting to be in, like, hella pain and then have to work tomorrow and stuff. So anyway, thanks to Kayla, my lovely little Kayla, I love her, um, she said, “Come, just let them check out your tooth that got extracted, just to see, you know, what’s going on.” So I came. They checked it out. They, you know, poured some, like, solution, salt water stuff in it, cleaned it out, and they said it was fine. It’s just healing. Uh, and then my orthodontist, I met with her, and then she put my braces on today.

So they took a mold of my mouth. They took some photos, and then they put my braces on. And I’m sure you guys have seen all the footage I showed you, but, um, the process was not painful at all. I didn’t feel anything, maybe some pressure, like I feel pressure on my teeth, but I don’t feel pain. Um, and so they put braces on, but they didn’t put brackets on these teeth, this one because they’re gonna extract that tooth, and this one because they’re also gonna extract that tooth. Um, in about two weeks, I’m gonna get those two teeth extracted, and then they’re gonna add the brackets on them and then also tighten them into my mouth. So, um, they should all be in alignment pretty soon.

Uh, but then she said they should probably start lining up really well in six months. She said I’m supposed to have my braces on for about 18 months. I’m praying that God is gonna move my teeth quicker than that, but, uh, yeah. So far, I feel like I have to, like, stop myself from drooling, and I have to learn to talk with these now because now I have them in my mouth, and I haven’t even gotten the top ones on yet, man. I can’t even. At least I’m getting practice, though.

But overall, it was a good experience. I know that I have, like, you know, my wax, and I think it’s so cute that they gave me this little orthodontic set. That’s so nice of them. So I’m gonna eat. I’m still only eating, like, soft foods right now because of my extraction site. So, um, monthly updates on my braces journey so you guys can see the progression until I have a record of my progression.
