Hello, I’m Doctor Jaehyun Park at Dana Plastic Surgery. Today I am going to talk about 3 different methods of scalp micropigmentation. 3 methods for scalp micropigmentation Coloring, drawing a line and marking a dot. These are the three typical methods. I will talk about this in a simple matter.

Which method is the best? Coloring and making a line For the coloring method, it is either by using an extremely thick needle or by making a net-like shape. Then the empty spaces in between the hair follicles will be filled with the color.

This method is not recommended for scalp micropigmentation. In the early stages in might look satisfactory But as hair loss progresses You might end up looking like Andre Kim because It will look blue, which is what you will see in the movie Avatar. There are a lot of people like this who come crying into our hospital.

Using a large needle to color the scalp is not recommended for this particular procedure. The second method is to draw a line. At first, it may look fine. But the line method is used for the eyebrows. Which is what females often get.

Therefore it is not used for scalp micropigmentation. Making dots For scalp micropigmentation, making uncountable numbers of dots is the best method. This way the result will look natural There are two concepts of making micro dots on the scalp. First of all the white patches of skin that is visible

around the crown area is covered with dots to reduce the visibility of the scalp. This is one method. Another method is to have a shaved head And making dots that looks like hair. These are the two patterns for using scalp micropigmentation.

It is technically more difficult to perform scalp micropigmentation on a shaved head than on the crown. There are very few doctors who can perform scalp micropigmentation on a shaved head. There are a few in Korea but they are mostly the doctors at our clinic.
