Doctor, we’ve already started filming, haha. I’ll also upload those parts as well Alright (Playing) Doctor, don’t try to look too neat. Please look a bit untidy, lol!

Hello, we are Doctor Jin and Director Son from Flexible Doctors. Today, we are going to learn about bulbous nose plastic surgery with Dr. Jin who is a medical professional that specializes in nose plastic surgery. What is a bulbous nose? There are many structures that make up the nose. We can say that this middle part is the tip of the nose.

We say that we have a bulbous nose if that part of the nose is very wide and bumpy. Do I have a bulbous nose, Doctor? No, that’s not a bulbous nose. What causes a bulbous nose? If we perform surgery on a bulbous nose, we can see that the alar cartilage itself is very fatty. Then we can tell that the cartilage is quite far apart.

That's why the tip of the nose is wide and bumpy. The last characteristic is when the skin covering the tip of the nose is thick. Then what is the bulbous nose surgery method you mentioned? We can correct a bulbous nose by solving all three of the causes I just mentioned.

So, we cut incisions to partially cut away the extra fatty alar cartilage. We then thin the lower part of the thickened skin layer, as making the skin a little thinner will solve the bulbous nose. What is the difference between regular nose surgery and bulbous nose surgery? Simply low-nose surgery is called a non-open incision, and the surgery is done by only cutting inside the nostril.

I can tell you that bulbous nose plastic surgery is slightly different because we have to operate with an open incision by cutting the inside of both nostrils and connecting the middle. Will there be any open incision scars? Patients are actually worried about this. We can't see them from the front. But if you go up close and look right at the nose, you will be able to see the scars.

At first, they tend to stand out because there is redness in the area for three to four months. However, after time, the area returns to the color of the patient’s flesh, making it more difficult to see the scars. Even before that time, for women, just apply a thin layer of foundation, and the scars will be almost invisible. You don't have to worry.

I've been working as a doctor for about 20 years now, and I have rarely had patients ask me to take care of their scars from surgery. Alright, thank you for explaining everything to us. Today, we learned about bulbous nose plastic surgery. Thank you for watching!
