Hello, I’m Dr. Chan from Flexible Doctors. And I’m Director Son. Today, we will look at the two major double eyelid surgical methods - buried and incision. In general, double eyelid surgery is performed by selecting either
the buried method or the incision method. Hmm, I see. What is the buried method, doctor? Buried is a method of making two to six small holes on the newly created double eyelid line and connecting them to make a double eyelid.
There is also a method called natural adhesion. What is that? Natural adhesion can be seen as a type of buried method. It can be viewed as a method that can considerably prevent loosening more than the general buried method
by removing part of the tissue and connecting more threads. I see. There is actually something that patients who come for a consultation are most concerned about, doctor. They say that every time they go to a hospital, the diagnosis comes out different.
They think it’s the same, but some hospitals will recommend the buried method while others will say incision, which can be confusing to patients. There are many people who say that. Double eyelids can be created with the buried method, and they can also be done through an incision.
It’s all possible, it just depends on the patient's condition and wishes. I usually use this one for patient consultations, so you know it well, right? This one? I think I saw it somewhere. I use this site
to make a variety of double eyelid lines. After making a line by adjusting the height or shape, you can see if the double eyelid can be well-maintained and ensure that the patient will look pretty when they blink. If so, it should be enough
to use the natural adhesion buried method. So, you’re saying that the incision and buried method aren’t that different, right? In such cases, there’s not much difference between the results of the incision or buried method. Ah, I see.
Then, you’re saying that you can freely diagnose according to the condition and style of the patient, right? When I set the line, the patient may say, “Oh, I have a bit of sagging skin.”
Or they may say, “I’d like to have some fat removed.” Or, “I’d like to change the inline-outline a bit.” If they say any of these things, we’ll use an incision method
to adjust things a bit more. I see. Thank you for those useful explanations, doctor. Today, we looked at double eyelid surgery. Thank you.
