But, do they really need to have all the surgeries…? Because Some people only need this surgery, some people need only the medial canthus surgery, and they don't need to do all the surgeries, so they don't need an incision. That's true. But you can use the incisional wayon all surgeries. If you only use the non-incisional way, there is limited surgeries you can do.

Yes, we have no paper proof. No, we don’t. And empirically, when we talk to patients, we will tell them that although it was easy to loosen in the past, but now even though we use the natural adhesion method, and eyelid correction is also done together. Basically, the probability of loosening is not so different with incisional ways.
That’s how we tell the patients. In our experiences, it’s not true that the incisional double eyelids won’t loosen. They do. But it’s less likely… The adhesion is somehow more formative. I think if someone’s double eyelids can loosen by the incisional surgery, then he will definitely loosen fasterby the non-incisional one.
People whose eyelids loosen by the incisional surgery will loosen faster by the non-incisional surgery. There are people whose eyelids loosen after the surgery, right? People with very thick, chubby skin and a lot of fat... People with infold double eyelids also loosen easily. On the contrary, for people whose eyelids don’t loosen by the non-incision,
the incision could cause excessive adhesion. Because of that, there may be scar which may look obvious. So, it's a double-edged sword, right? So, people whose eyelids loosen by the incisional surgery will loosen faster by the non-incisional surgery. And for people whose eyelids don’t loosen by the non-incisional surgery., incisional surgery may cause excessive adhesion. We can say that, right?
But I don't think it will be too much if the surgery is well performed. Yes, if the non-incision surgery is done well, it will not loosen easily. That’s so childish. (laughing) That’s so childish. And it’s case by case. If the incision is done well, there's almost no scar left. Right? If thenon-incisional surgery is well done, you can barely see the scar.
It’s not that there is almost no scar left. (there is scar but) you can barely see it. The eyelid correction surgery for patients with ptosis is an incisional surgery, right? Yeah, well, they're people who have severe ptosis. On the contrary, non-incisional surgery is enough for people with less severe ptosis, right? I'm not saying the incision is bad.
I'm saying the incisional way isn't necessarily superior to the non-incisional way. Wordless… I think it’s more superior… It’s a more superior surgery because the technique is more difficult. As we have the saying 'Simple is the best'. That means a simple surgery could be the best.
Sometime I told the patients. I read about it. In the U.S they invested huge amount of money for NASA to make a ballpoint pen that can be used in space. Oh, yeah. I heard that too. Because the ink of the ballpoint pen does not flow down under gravity, they invested a lot of money to make it.
But in Russia they just use pencil. Just like they could have saved the money by using a pencil instead. The simple way can be better. What is written in pencil can be erased. (The incision) is not easy to loosen. Maybe in some case, we have to do it (the incision).
Anyway if you change the way of thinking, in some simple case, the non-incision can be a better choice. So both ways are good and you can’t say which one is more superior. Just like what my teacher used to say. Your teacher? (9 years ago when Director Lee Woo Jin was still a resident doctor. Student /professor ) I’m a good surgeon! I can perform difficult surgeries.
Even though you can perform a difficult operation, you are not a master. Surgeons who can perform surgery in the simplest way are masters. This is what my teacher said. And I think that’s right. Although I didn't make it to that rank. I will work hard in that direction… I think I lost.
