Today's topic is reoperation. Many people do reoperation, right? The best way not to choose the wrong reoperation! <Sincere to all the patients> <Director of Jayjun Plastic Surgery, Park Hyung Jun> For reoperation, it's like when a patient had surgery in "A" plastic surgery clinic, he goes to "B" plastic surgery clinic too to have a consultation in various plastic surgery clinics.

There will be some doctors that advise having a reoperation, and some may advise not to have one. In my opinion, if there are more than two doctors advising not to have the reoperation, it would be better for you to give up reoperation or to consider again deeply. Sometimes, when you visit another clinic, the doctor there may be able to analyze your case in a more objective way from a third party's perspective.

When more than 2 of the doctors who are in the third party say that "It would be better for you to wait for a while and see." or "It is better for you not having it now.", you may need to reconsider whether you really want to have the reoperation. In my opinion, if two or more two doctors stop you from having the reoperation, it would be better for you to reconsider it.

Can you tidy up types of reoperations that doctors would like to stop the patients from doing it? ex. The situation in which only slightly asymmetry occurs. For situations in which there is only a very small difference, I recommend you consider reoperation conservatively.

Like a situation in which the double eyelid on this side looks like an in-line while the other side looks like a semi out-line, some patients may say that there is a small difference between the two sides and ask the doctor to see if it's possible to have a reoperation and fix it.

For little asymmetry that is hard to be seen, actually, even reoperation cannot make sure that it can be corrected, and if the reoperation is done excessively, the asymmetry can be worsened. What I want to say is that for very little asymmetry, reoperation is not really necessary. I think for this kind of very minor problem if I tell patients that we can do this and that to correct it, I may give a vain hope to them.

In my opinion, if I think it's not possible for me, I would just say it's not possible, and if patients really want to so do, I will advise them not to end with me, but to find more other doctors for more advises. Hidden masters, or real masters, in fact, there are really some master-class doctors which are not famous. You may be able to find those master-class doctors, and consult them for more advice.

We always say this kind of word, for my children, even the star in the sky, I would like to pick it for my children. If you want to evoke my emotion, want to hear me saying emotionally like even for the things that I do not have the ability to do, I would want to do it for you.

If you just want to hear hard stuff, like would it be fine to do so or not, if you just want to have an emotional conversation like this, actually, you do not need to meet me. You can have it with your friends or family, you can have consultations in other places. You can feel a lot more sense of empathy by doing that.

However, if you come to find a doctor, what you want to hear should be the advice from a professional, right? If I relate to you excessively, I may make a wrong judgment affected by my own emotion. It is necessary for us to classify what doctors can do and what doctors can't. Sometimes, some patients cry when they have a consultation about reoperation with me, and I feel very uncomfortable.

There is sometimes when I want to say anything to comfort them, but comforting is not my responsibility there are other responsibilities as a doctor for me. I think it's not right, so I have no choice but to say this. I believe that I should do my best as a doctor who treats patients.

"Patients who visit Jayjun Plastic Surgery all have their own dreams, and I hope that our clinic would be the place for the dream to come true." I will never forget the original intention of Jayjun
