Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic (City Hall Station, Seoul)-Teeth cleaning, Whitening Review

The dental clinic that I visited Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic was conveniently located near City Hall Station in Seoul. The location of the clinic is perfect for any tourists since it is located near Myeongdong and Deoksugung.

Once I have arrived, the staff greeted us at the front desk and asked me to fill in the questionnaires before I start the consultation. They have options in other languages, so you don't need to worry about it!

I quickly filled in the questionnaires and looked around the clinic. The clinic was extramely clean and well organized.

They were even offering toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash and more for patients to use. I found this very considerate and loved their delicate touch on details.

I grabbed a seat and waited for a bit until the staff calls me to star the session. I always get nervous before, but I helped myself with a cup of warm water to calm myself down.

X-ray

The first step was taking the x-ray of my teeth. One of the hygienists asked me to bite into the mouthpiece, hold the handle and close my eyes during the x-ray session. Also, the hygienist handed me the vest to reduce the exposure of radiation.

Taking Photo & Checkup

After taking the x-ray, they checked up my teeth, and start taking photos of my teeth.

Meanwhile, they took pictures to compare before and after of colour of my teeth. The dentist examed my teeth if I have any cavities, wisdom teeth issues, and others.

Consultation

After taking photos, I went to the doctor's office for a consultation. I was very glad to hear that I only had one minor cavity, which was not a big deal! Yay!

Also, she recommended getting the teeth cleaned today since I haven't done it in my life. I was a bit scared and nervous before the treatment, but the doctor explained the whole procedure of today's treatment schedule in detail.

Teeth Cleaning

Since it was my first time getting my teeth cleaned, it took me about 10 minutes for everything to be done. I heard my friends nad families of getting their teeth cleaned and lots of them told me that it hurts and you will find yourself bleeding.

However, my experience was pleasant without any pain! The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very professional and asked me to raise my left hand if anything makes me uncomfortable. Additionally, she explained which part she was working on, and why some of the parts are taking additional time compared to other parts.

After the teeth cleaning session, I wasn't bleeding as much compared to my friends' and acquaintances' review. I found the dental hygienists are paying lots of attention to details, and delicate with patients.

Teeth whitening

After my teeth getting cleaned, the dentist started the teeth whitening session right after. The whole session took 55 minutes in total.

Expect to wear a mouth gag to keep your mouth open for 55 minutes long treatment. It felf funny at first, but I got used to it after 5 minutes.

After finishing the teeth whitening treatment, they will take another picture of your teeth to compare before and after. The picture of my before and after is below.

Can you see the difference? The color of my teeth got brighter from 'A3' to 'A1'!

According to the dentist, my teeth color are brighter than the average, but I could still see the transformation. Even though it is not a dramatic change, I was very satisfied with the clean and neat look of the teeth.

Hygiene: It was flawless! Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic was extremely clean and I would like to visit again for my next dental care occasion!

Efficiency: The teeth cleaning and whitening took about 1.5 hours in total. This is including the reception, x-ray, consulting and the main treatment, which is very efficient.

Service: All staff were very considerate and respectful! They explained every step in detail to help me understand how the treatment will work.

Affordability: For the high-end quality dental care, I think it totally worth it. If you have sensitive teeth or gum. I would highly suggest visiting Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic for the delicate care from the dentists and hygienists.
