My name is Dr. Troy. Invisalign is the clear aligner, as you see here. You will receive a series of these trays, and you need to change the tray every week or every 10 days. You need to visit our clinic and get a consultation, and then we will let you know if you are suitable for Invisalign treatment. But before that, you have to take an X-ray and also take some CBCT for diagnosis, and also we are going to take a scan of your teeth. We can only find out after we see your case, but Invisalign is basically suitable for almost every case.

The first step in the Invisalign process is a consultation with us at the dental clinic with Dr. Bay. During the consultation, Dr. Bay will examine your teeth and discuss your goals for treatment. The first stage will be done at stage one. Stage two, four areas are going to be done at stage two. Stage three, we're going to place this attachment on your teeth. We use this to get some spaces for the teeth to be aligned. Your jawbone is kind of smaller for the teeth to be aligned, that's why you get kind of these issues, crowding issues. So instead of extraction, we use this stripping.

Do you need to... yeah, you will need a retainer. We recommend you to get retainers from a company called Retain. The material of the tray is different. You have to wear the retainer for a lifetime, but we recommend you to wear the retainer two times the first year after completion. After that, you can wear the retainer at nighttime, and it's not going to be that inconvenient. So after completion, you're going to place this one for your retainer, kind of maintaining your teeth position. I think I've seen quite a few patients after a couple of years later, it seems to be fine without these issues because the gums and teeth become well stabilized after five years. You have to follow up every six months to make sure that everything is fine.

After the consultation, the dentist will take 3D images of your teeth using our digital scanner called the iTero scanner. The 3D images are used to create a custom treatment plan that maps out the movements of your teeth. The 3D scanning process is quick and painless, and it provides a detailed picture of your teeth that helps the dentist plan your treatment.

Once the treatment plan is finalized, the Invisalign aligners are created using the 3D images and the treatment plan. The aligners are made of a clear plastic material that is virtually invisible. They are custom-made to fit your teeth, so they are comfortable to wear. Remember to wear your aligners as much as possible to achieve the best results.
