Wangsimni acne,
can it be treated at a dermatology clinic?

Hello, this is Kang Bo-kyung, chief director of Wangsimni You&I Dermatology Clinic.
If you are reading this post now, you may be someone who is feeling stressed because of acne.
Acne goes beyond a simple cosmetic issue and can affect daily life and interpersonal relationships.
"I feel like people keep looking only at my face."
"Makeup does not sit well, and it keeps getting redder."
"No matter how much I care for it, it seems to keep coming back."
Many people have these kinds of concerns.
So today, I will explain the causes of acne and briefly introduce treatment methods that match them.
If you have similar concerns, I hope this post will be helpful, and I will begin the main explanation now.

Wangsimni acne
Why does it happen in the first place?
The main causes of acne are largely four things: excessive sebum production, clogged pores, inflammatory responses, and damage to the skin barrier.
In particular, stress, irregular lifestyle habits, and hormonal changes can make these problems worse.
Because the reasons acne develops are so diverse, it is best to determine a treatment direction tailored to the cause and symptoms.
Many people say, "I received treatment before, but it came back," and in most cases, this is likely because only the symptoms were improved without treating the underlying cause.

What procedures are available?
Acne treatment is often not done with just one method, and combination treatment is frequently needed.
Because the method differs depending on each skin condition, it is best to receive a careful skin assessment and proceed only after 충분히 consulting with the medical staff.
In this post, I will introduce two representative procedures.
Etosome PTT

Very small particles are placed into the sebaceous glands in the pores of our skin, and a laser heats the particles to destroy the sebaceous glands.
Because part of the sebaceous glands is destroyed in this way, people say it is effective for acne.
However, there are skin types that are suitable for Etosome PTT, and there are also types for which it is not recommended.
If you would like to know more about this, please refer to the post below.

Pico Fraxel
Fraxel works on the principle of inducing tissue regeneration by causing thermal damage to the skin layers. However, during the procedure there can be pain and redness, so the recovery period tends to be longer.
Pico Fraxel, which is the Pico-mode Fraxel setting, delivers the laser directly to the dermal layer in intervals of one-trillionth of a second.
This reduces damage to the skin layer while shortening the procedure time, so it can be seen as addressing the shortcomings of the existing procedure.
Also, because the procedure is performed in picoseconds and the laser speed is fast, the recovery period after treatment is shorter and the pain is relatively less.

A skin analyzer can help provide a more detailed diagnosis.
Even if it is not one of the procedures mentioned above, there are many ways to improve Wangsimni acne, but whatever method is used, consistent treatment is important.
Please make sure to receive treatment after 충분히 consulting with the medical staff about the method that is right for your skin.
Acne and red skin are not just simple skin concerns; I believe they are important issues that directly affect quality of life.
So rather than worrying any longer, I hope you will find a capable clinic or hospital, start treatment, and regain your confidence with the skin you want.

Lastly, I would like to make one request before wrapping up this post.
Please do not try folk remedies or unverified products circulating on the internet carelessly. They may seem effective temporarily, but they can actually worsen your skin condition.
The safest and most reliable way is to consult a specialist and receive appropriate treatment suited to your skin condition.
