Removal of Nose Silicone, Ear Cartilage, Medpor, and Tip Cartilage Repositioning
Hello, this is Chamin Plastic Surgery.
Today, we would like to introduce the recovery process of a patient who underwent complete nose removal surgery.
Complete Nose Removal Surgery
Chamin Plastic Surgery Clinic

Today, after having two nose surgeries 10 years ago,
the patient felt that the nasal tip was swollen,
and over time, discomfort in the nose increased,
so they came to Chamin for complete removal.
The patient said that they previously had rhinoplasty using silicone and ear cartilage.

During the consultation, a 3D-CT scan was taken to examine the inside of the nose,
and it was confirmed that a long implant made of silicone had been inserted from the nasal bridge all the way to the tip,
and that the nasal tip was deviated to one side.
Since the patient wanted the implant and inserted cartilage removed from inside the nose,
a complete removal surgery was performed.

The silicone, ear cartilage, and Medpor material removed during surgery.
A large amount of ear cartilage had been inserted into the nasal tip,
the skin at the nasal tip was extremely thin,
and Medpor had also been inserted.

The area where the silicone had been visible before surgery
has lowered to a natural nasal bridge height after removal,
and the visible implant has disappeared naturally.

From the side, the area that had looked long and unevenly protruded
also returned to a natural line
as Medpor and ear cartilage were removed.

As the area where too much ear cartilage had been accumulated disappeared,
the nostril area and
the sharply raised nasal tip also disappeared, and the patient was pleased with the results.

Even in selfies, the nose looked long
and excessively, unnaturally
high.

After removal, it changed to a natural height
and line.
It’s a more natural height than before removal, right~?

This is the 2-month follow-up.
Compared with the 1-month follow-up,
it became even more natural as the swelling went down.
Nose implant removal surgery
is absolutely not a simple procedure.

Many people think that removing implants, silicone, cartilage, and similar materials from inside the nose
is a very short and simple procedure.
However, because it is a surgery that must delicately remove materials while preserving the internal structure and stability of the nose,
it is one of the more difficult procedures.

At Chamin Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon
Director Min Seong-gi personally handles every step,
from consultation to treatment, follow-up, and surgery,
and the clinic focuses exclusively on rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and removal procedures.
We focus on a thorough aftercare system
and recovery management, and we do our best to treat each and every patient.

If you are considering complete nose removal or silicone removal,
don’t worry about it alone—
we hope you will visit Chamin and look for a solution together.
