In this installment, I will look at the common principles between color makeup steps and dermatology procedures.
*Contour correction and dermatology procedures

Makeup:
-
Shading: the sides of the jawline, prominent cheekbones, the temples on both sides
-
Highlighter: the tip of the nose, the center of the forehead
-
Blusher: the apple area
I don’t have any ill feelings toward actress Jeong Eun-chae, and her face is really the type I like!! My drawing skills are just too crude..
Dermatology procedures corresponding to shading:
-
Botox:
-
temple and jaw Botox

You can see how much space the temple and jaw muscles take up on our faces by looking at the front and side facial muscle photos above. For people whose facial contours look uneven because those muscles are enlarged and developed, Botox alone can tidy up the face line and make it look smoother.
If the jaw looks more pronounced because of bulging fat or overall sagging elasticity, lifting procedures (HIFU such as Ultherapy or Shurink) or thread lifting can also be considered.
Procedures corresponding to highlighter and blusher:
Fillers are one example. In the end, the purpose is to add volume to the area and make it flat and smooth without any uneven parts, so there is no real difference.
*Feature correction and dermatology procedures
As for makeup related to the eyes and nose, most of it is actually more in the realm of plastic surgery than dermatology, so there is not much to explain.
However, the lips are an exception. These days, people seem to pay more attention to lip makeup than before. People with thin or small lips make their lips look larger by using lip liners and lip shading, and make them look smoother by using moist-textured lip tints and lipsticks.
A dermatology procedure that creates moist, plump lips is lip filler. Below are photos of my lips. The first photo is my original lips, and the second photo was taken one week after the lip filler procedure. The angle of the photos and the lipstick color are different, so it is not a 100% accurate comparison... but personally, I am extremely satisfied.

That’s all for today. I briefly introduced dermatology procedures corresponding to contour correction makeup and feature correction makeup, respectively.
