These days, people seem to use a
"short midface ratio"
as a standard of beauty.
Even among the current popular idols and actors, there are celebrities with short midfaces who attract lots of fans.
A representative example among idols is Jennie,
and among actors, Han So-hee.

They are not pretty simply because their midfaces are short.
The size, shape, and proportions of their facial features, along with their charm and talent, voice, body type, and overall vibe, all seem to come together to highlight their appeal.
Still, among their many harmonious points of charm, it is also true that a short midface is one advantage.
If the midface is short, it can give a youthful look,
and if the midface is long, it can create a classic and mature impression.
What matters more than appearance is the inside, and everyone has different individuality, which is what makes them more appealing.
That is the fundamental premise, but...
Still, I think it is possible to make an effort toward the aesthetic goals one wants, as long as it is not excessive.
If you want an atmosphere of freshness, brightness, youthfulness, or liveliness, it is better to look like you have a shorter midface rather than a longer one.
Unfortunately, however, the length of the midface is determined by one’s natural bone structure, and it is difficult to improve even with surgical help.
To compensate for this, you can try aegyo-sal makeup, nose shading, blush on the front cheeks, and generally softening the overall facial contour.
In terms of dermatological procedures, there have not been any clearly defined treatments that are specifically suited to shortening the midface.
Recently, though, Emface seems to be emerging as a procedure that makes the midface look shorter, so I plan to try it myself.
At the commonly recommended number of sessions and intervals,
I will try it from the perspective of the person receiving the treatment, not from the practitioner’s perspective,
and I will write a review in a few months.
