Hello.
I’m dentist Kim Tae-hyeong, the one who designs people’s impressions.

There is one moment in the treatment room every day that excites me the most.
Do you know when that is?
It is when patients look in the mirror and smile brightly for the first time. Haha.

Maybe it’s because I originally dreamed of becoming a designer. ^^
For me, creating smiles often feels less like simple treatment and more like art.
Even now, I still have a hobby of drawing whenever I have time...

Receipts, café bags...
My canvas has no limits.
Opening a dental clinic in Nonhyeon-dong was not simply about adding one more treatment room.
It was about opening the "smile design studio" I had long dreamed of. (Looking at it now, the name does feel a little cringeworthy, haha;;)
But reality was different.

In Gangnam, especially around Nonhyeon, there are countless dental clinics just one block apart.
Patients wonder which clinic they should choose, and I also found myself thinking deeply about how I could provide truly sincere treatment.
Then I came to a realization.
Just as the essence of the design I loved so much was the harmony of "beauty" and "function"...
Dental treatment also has to balance "aesthetics" and "health."
Today, I’d like to talk about the true value of dental care, which I’ve come to understand over 10 years as a dentist, and the value that BLANCHE Dental Clinic aims for.
I’d appreciate it if you could spare just 3 minutes to read this.
The essence of treatment?
It can be protected through "technical skill."
Nonhyeon Dental Clinic
"Skill? It is important, but...
How can you tell?"
There are two main things to look at.
First is the attitude toward natural teeth.

Many dental clinics choose aggressive tooth reduction for faster changes and dramatic effects.
The more tooth structure is removed, the easier the procedure becomes.
But this can cause irreversible damage.
True technical skill is actually shown in reducing teeth less.
Preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible while still creating beautiful results—that is the core of technical skill.
Second is customized treatment.

Since every patient’s dental condition and needs are different...
A one-size-fits-all treatment approach makes it hard to achieve satisfying results.
Customized treatment for each patient is absolutely essential.
Since our main focus is laminate veneers, let me use that as an example...

We developed "Blanche," which uses ultra-thin 0.01 mm ceramic.
It is a method that creates a natural smile while barely reducing the teeth at all.
<Want to know more about the non-prep laminate veneer, "Blanche"?>
And we never just place laminate veneers blindly.
We carefully examine the teeth for at least 10 to 20 minutes...
We check, one by one, how the laminate should be made and how the design should be applied.
(If there are people who do not actually need laminate veneers, we honestly tell them that as well!)

Once that direction is set?
Professional dental technicians with more than 10 years of experience create laminate veneers that fit each patient perfectly.
They are technicians who work only for Blanche. Haha.

I’ve mainly talked about laminate veneers, but...
No matter why you visit a dental clinic, I think no one can deny that technical skill is truly important.
Please be sure to look at how carefully your natural teeth are treated and how much effort is made for a good result!
As an aside, I too think every day as a dentist about researching better techniques and building better systems.
For patients’ healthy and beautiful smiles...
I plan to keep moving forward with the delicacy of a designer and the responsibility of a doctor. Haha.
That is the true value of dental care that Blanche Dental Clinic aims for!
Thank you for reading this long post.
Smile More, Live Better!
With heartfelt wishes for you to shine even more,
Kim Tae-hyeong, Chief Director
