Hello.
I’m dentist Kim Tae-hyeong, the one designing your healthy smile.

Not long ago, a patient said this to me.
Doctor, I think I spent
about a month looking for a hospital.
I looked up reviews online,
asked people I know...
but everyone said theirs was the best.
In the end, I didn’t know what 기준 to choose by,
so I just went around getting consultations everywhere;;
A patient said they had looked into information on more than 50
Seoul dental clinics for laminate veneers...
Hearing that made me suddenly remember my own past.
Those were the times, not long after I became a dentist, when I sat at my desk at night and worried.
“How can I provide better treatment?”
“What is truly important as a doctor?”
The starting point of those worries was simple, but the process of finding the answer was never easy.
And then I realized something.
The standard for a good dental clinic is not the flashy appearance or the facilities you can see on the outside.
Today, I’d like to share one key point for finding a truly “skilled” dental clinic, discovered through more than 10 years of clinical experience.
I hope this post can be of some small help to those who are 고민 about choosing a dental clinic!
The desire to protect teeth,
starts there.
Seoul Dental Clinic
"It’s only been a year since I got treatment
at another dental clinic,
but it hurts so muchㅠㅠ"
"My teeth keep getting sensitive,
and my gums are swelling more and more. What should I do?"
We do have quite a few people who come to Blanc Dental Clinic for laminate veneer re-treatment...
When we examine these patients’ teeth, there is one common point.
In most cases, there has been unnecessarily excessive tooth reduction.

In the case of laminate veneers, many dental clinics consider removing about 0.5~1.0 mm of tooth structure to be normal.
They say, “It can’t be helped if you want a prettier result.”
But this means losing most of the enamel, the tooth’s natural protective layer.
Teeth reduced this way may look fine at first, but over time they begin to cause various problems.

They start to feel sensitive to cold foods, the pain gradually gets worse...
and in many cases, it eventually leads to root canal treatment.
Sometimes the gums recede, making the teeth look longer as well.
When I was researching laminate veneers, this was the area I focused on most.
“Is removing tooth structure really the best option?”
“Is there a way to create a beautiful smile
while protecting the patient’s natural teeth?”
With these questions in mind, I spent countless nights searching for answers.

After nearly 10 years of research and dedication, that effort led to what is now “Blanche.”
We use ceramic that is just 0.01 mm thick—five times thinner than a strand of hair.
Compared with standard laminate veneers, the amount of tooth reduction is reduced to one-fifth to one-tenth...
and in many cases, no tooth reduction is needed at all.
<Would you like to learn more about no-prep laminate veneers, “Blanche”?>
Of course, it is not easy.
The procedure takes much longer... and to achieve enough strength and bonding with such thin ceramic, an entirely new laboratory process was also necessary.
(As a side note, that is why we also established an in-house dental lab unique to Blanc Dental Clinic.)
But all of that effort was never wasted.
It made it possible for us to preserve our patients’ healthy teeth exactly as they are while still creating natural and beautiful smiles.
Most of all,
"My teeth don’t feel sensitive at all."
"It feels just like my original teeth!"
Every time I hear feedback like that from patients...
it reassures me that all the research has been heading in the right direction haha

Of course, my approach is not the only answer.
What matters is whether a clinic sacrifices healthy teeth for immediate aesthetic results,
or whether it researches ways to create a beautiful smile while preserving as much tooth structure as possible...
The difference definitely leads to completely different results 5 years or 10 years later.

Please keep this in mind and visit a dental clinic that protects natural teeth.
Choosing a dental clinic is never a light decision. Your dental health is at stake.
I sincerely hope that the one standard I mentioned in this post will help you make a wise choice.
Wishing all of you a healthy and beautiful smile for a long time to come...
I’ll wrap up here!
Thank you for reading to the end haha
Smile More, Live Better!
With sincere hope that you shine even brighter,
