Hello.
I’m Kim Tae-hyung, the chief director of Blanche Dental Clinic.

No-prep veneers are a very appealing treatment.
They preserve as much of the tooth as possible
while making a noticeable difference in appearance. Haha.
That’s probably why, lately, more and more people are choosing no-prep veneers instead of whitening...
or after hesitating about orthodontic treatment.
But in clinical practice, we often see patients come in with just as much worry as expectation.
“Is it really true that no teeth are shaved down?”
“Will I feel sensitivity or have problems later?”
Many people come after reading countless no-prep veneer reviews. Haha.
Today, I’d like to talk about no-prep veneers from an expert’s perspective, which is hard to find in ordinary reviews.

- No-prep veneer review,
Why is sensitivity less common?

This image explains why sensitivity symptoms appear
in no-prep veneer reviews. Haha.
Sensitivity after veneers usually occurs when the layer called “dentin,” which is close to the nerve inside the tooth, becomes exposed.
Traditional veneers usually require removing about 0.3–0.7 mm of tooth structure.
Even if that sounds tiny from the outside...
especially near the cervical area (near the gums), that amount of reduction can reach the dentin layer.
The dentin layer contains microscopic tubules connected to the nerve, so cold air, sweet foods, and even tooth brushing can trigger sensitivity.

On the other hand, Blanche’s no-prep veneers use an analysis system built by a technical development team with a master’s degree in engineering from Seoul National University...
which makes it possible to achieve a sufficient design with removal limited to within the enamel layer (about 0.1 mm).
Through 3D scanning and facial proportion simulation, we design an ideal treatment range that is close to “0” removal...
and because the veneers are made in our in-house dental lab using thin yet durable materials, we can create beautiful results without reaching the dentin.
That is also why many no-prep veneer reviews say things like:
“I can drink iced Americano without any discomfort.”
“It’s much more comfortable than whitening.”
Haha.

- A way to protect teeth,
This is a no-prep veneer
No-prep veneer review

One thing that often appears in no-prep veneer reviews is...
When people first hear that something will be placed over their teeth,
“Couldn’t that damage the teeth?”
is a common concern.
But I believe no-prep veneers can also be a way to protect teeth.
It may be a slightly unfamiliar way to put it. Haha.
In the clinic, there are many people whose teeth have become sensitive from frequent whitening procedures.
Whitening agents allowed in Korea are low in concentration, but when repeated many times, enamel damage and hypersensitivity can accumulate.
In addition, some people have cracks or gaps on the surface of their teeth, so food gets stuck often...
and they also feel mild pain when chewing.

In such cases, no-prep veneers can have not only an aesthetic benefit but also a functional reinforcement effect.
They cover cracks with thin ceramic and smooth out asymmetry...
helping maintain a clean condition without any foreign-body sensation.
So when you look at no-prep veneer reviews, you’ll also see many people who are satisfied because they gained functional treatment benefits as well.
When I perform treatment,
“I need to ask myself whether this is something the patient truly needs.”
That is always in my mind.
Because once a tooth is damaged, it cannot be restored.
Preserving as much as possible while satisfying both function and aesthetics.
That is also Blanche’s treatment philosophy.

A treatment that changes your appearance while touching the teeth as little as possible.
That is no-prep veneers.
But the reason many people read no-prep veneer reviews is actually...
more about worrying, “Will it look better?” than “Will it cause sensitivity?”
That is also the question I hear most often in the clinic. Haha.
This question reflects a desire to protect the teeth.
Because I understand that feeling well, I wrote this post today. ^^
No-prep veneers are not just a matter of design and materials...
They are a treatment based on accurate diagnosis and a preservation-centered philosophy.

Thank you for reading my post today. Haha.
