No-Prep Laminate Cost?
Here Are 2 Things to Check

Nice to meet you.
I’m Kim Tae-hyung, Chief Director of Blanche Dental Clinic.
“How much does no-prep laminate cost?”
“Isn’t there a place that’s even a little cheaper?”
These are questions I hear a lot in the clinic.
In fact, every time I hear questions like these, I feel a little uneasy.
I’ve seen far too many people choose based only on price and end up paying much more later.
After more than 10 years of researching and treating with laminates, I’ve realized something.
If you know the real factors that determine the cost of no-prep laminates,
you won’t keep searching for the cheapest price anymore.

Let me explain in detail now.
Based on my experience, I’d like to honestly share two things you should check.
After reading this, I think you won’t end up fixating on price when choosing no-prep laminates.ㅎㅎ;

- What matters most?
The most important thing in no-prep laminates is the quality of the ceramic.
With regular laminates, since the teeth are shaved down, they can be made to a certain thickness,
but no-prep laminates have to be made extremely thin, almost like paper.
How difficult that is...
I still remember how hard it was when I first learned.ㅎㅎ;
The problem is that the technique for making this ultra-thin ceramic differs from one dental clinic to another.
Some places manufacture it precisely with the latest equipment,
while others still use older methods.

What matters is who makes it.
In our case, we produce it directly in our in-house lab, which means
we can check and adjust according to the patient’s tooth condition in real time.
But places that outsource to an external lab would have a hard time making such delicate adjustments.
So when you get a consultation, be sure to ask:
“What material do you use?”,
“Where is the lab?”
I think a good place is one that answers these questions clearly.ㅎㅎ

- No-prep laminate cost, you have to do it “this” way
No matter how good the ceramic is, it doesn’t matter if the doctor can’t bond it properly.^^;
No-prep laminates are truly a demanding procedure.
Because the teeth aren’t shaved down, the bonding area is small, so a more precise technique is needed.
If the experience isn’t sufficient, they can come off quickly or the color may not match.
Not long ago, a patient who had treatment somewhere else came to see us, and three of them had come off within six months.
At first, they thought they had gotten a good deal cheaply,
but in the end they had to do it again, so the cost and time doubled.

There are really many people like this.
Most of the retreatment cases were from people who had undergone low-cost laminates.
So while the doctor’s experience is important,
the more important thing is aftercare.

If a problem occurs, how is it handled?
How long is the warranty period?
Are there any additional costs?
Please check these in advance.
If a no-prep laminate lasts more than 10 years when done properly,
there are cases where it doesn’t even last a year if done poorly.
A place that guarantees retreatment in such cases can be considered trustworthy.
So be sure to ask.
<If you want to learn more about no-prep laminates and ‘Blanche’>

Today, I explained the topic of no-prep laminate cost.
Rather than simply checking the price...
I hope you’ll look into what materials, techniques, and sense of responsibility are included in that cost.
A difference of a few hundred thousand won may feel significant right now,
but when you think about teeth you’re going to use for life, it’s really a small difference.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to come in for a consultation anytime.ㅎㅎ
I’ll honestly explain everything based on my experience.
