Hello.
I am Dr. Kim Tae-hyung, director of Blanche Dental Clinic, who turns your smile into a work of art.
Today, I brought you a somewhat interesting topic.
It is Blanche’s staining & durability test.

The thickness of the ceramic used in Blanche is around 0.1 mm, so it is extremely thin.
Because of that, many people have doubts about its durability.
Quite a few people also worry that it may discolor or stain easily.
To get straight to the point...
Blanche has the same level of strength as natural teeth and higher stain resistance than natural teeth.
Seeing is believing,
From here on, let’s analyze the test results one by one.

Blanche Staining Test
First, let’s look at the staining test.
For the test, we prepared Blanche used in actual treatment and a pig tooth.

Pig chromosomes are similar to human chromosomes, and their tooth structure is similar as well, so they are often used in experiments.
We prepared a total of three beverages.

Americano, red wine,
and even ramen broth, which stains the most easily.
After soaking each one in its cup for a total of three hours,
we checked the results.
For reference, the pig tooth was placed in the ramen broth,
which stains the most easily.
For an accurate result,
both the submerged Blanche and the pig tooth were thoroughly wiped clean with an alcohol pad.

As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that Blanche did not stain in any of the three cases.
"Maybe it’s because you wiped it with an alcohol pad?"
You may suspect that.

The pig tooth, which was also carefully wiped with an alcohol pad,
was stained by the ramen broth.
The reason Blanche is resistant to staining is this smooth surface treatment.
If you look closely, unlike the rough surface of a natural tooth,
it has a smooth surface that pigment has difficulty adhering to, so its color hardly changes with any food.
In other words, in terms of stain resistance, Blanche is superior to natural teeth.
Blanche Durability Test
Next, let’s look at durability.

The force applied to teeth in everyday life is about 70 kg of pressure.
Can Blanche, which is only about 0.1 mm thin, really withstand 70 kg of pressure?
The first test was pressing down on it with all my strength.

Even though my body weight is about 75 kg, it held up well without budging.
When it is bonded to a tooth, it becomes one with the natural tooth,
so the strength becomes much greater.
So even at this level, it has durability that poses no problem for everyday life.
The next test was throwing it forcefully onto the floor.

Even thick porcelain bowls often break when thrown onto the floor.
However, Blanche, despite being only 0.1 mm thin, showed no cracks at all.
The last test was striking it with a stone hammer.

The result was that it split into two pieces.^^
In fact, if you hit even a natural tooth with a hard hammer, it will break,
so this test is more for fun than for any real meaning.
Of course, as mentioned earlier,
when it is bonded to a tooth, the durability becomes twice as strong.

Unless someone deliberately strikes your face with the force of a hammer,
I think it is safe to say it is very unlikely to break.
If it does happen to break, please come to the clinic right away.
We take responsibility and provide AS service for up to 10 years,
so you can use it comfortably just like your original teeth.
How Can These Results Be Achieved?

The reason Blanche has strong durability and stain resistance despite its thinness
comes down to two things: the material and the processing.
The material used in Blanche is Swiss feldspathic ceramic.

This high-quality ceramic, available only in Switzerland, is processed once more in Korea.
By adding additional processing to an already excellent material,
durability and stain resistance are raised even further.

So far, we have looked at all the results of Blanche’s durability & staining tests.
The AS period is up to 10 years only,
and if you take good care of it in everyday life,
it can be used semi-permanently.
I sincerely hope that you can keep a beautiful smile for a long time with Blanche,
and I will end today’s post here.
