As the demand for people who want to soften the contours of the facial bones has increased, surgeries to reduce the prominence of the cheekbones or refine the shape of a square lower jaw have been widely performed in the field of plastic surgery.
The cheekbones determine the contour of the middle part of the face and play a decisive role in determining the width of the face.
Accurately and effectively performing surgery to refine the contour of these cheekbones, reduce the width of the face, and soften the strong contour of protruding cheekbones requires a great deal of experience and care.
Recently, the number of people who require revision surgery due to unsatisfactory results after cheekbone surgery has also increased, so let us look at surgical methods for such cases.
The case below is one in which the front body portion of the cheekbone was cut and only the lower portion was fixed, so the side cheekbone was not reduced at all, and a gap formed in the front body portion, leading to revision surgery.

After surgery, the gap in the front cheekbone area was improved, and the contour of the separated side cheekbone was also greatly reduced.
