Because the contour of the cheekbones was wide, making the face look broad, and the angular area of the lower jaw was prominent, this is a change in the bone appearance before surgery and at 2 weeks after surgery in a patient who underwent zygomatic reduction surgery and square jaw surgery (shaving) to improve the contour of a short, somewhat protruding chin.

It can be observed that the contour of the cheekbones, which looked wide before surgery (yellow circle), has been gathered into a smaller, neater shape based on the anterior osteotomy line after surgery.
It can also be observed that the contour of the front chin, which had been broad and protruding forward, has been smoothly refined.

This is a view looking upward from below with the head raised.
It can be expected that the contour of the cheekbone arch, which was widely spread before surgery, has moved inward after surgery, greatly narrowing the width of the face.

This is the part related to the continuity of the cheekbones, which I consider the most important.
As observed in the area within the yellow line after surgery, the continuity of the cheekbone osteotomy area extending downward from the outer corner of the eye is well maintained.
If this continuity of the cheekbones is not maintained and a step-off occurs, a more awkward contour may gradually become apparent as 6 months to 1 year or more pass after surgery.

In the oblique post-surgery view, it can be observed that the contour of the front cheekbone, which had appeared protruded forward, has become softer.
