Many people may have been caught off guard by the suddenly colder weather and dry conditions.
This early morning, we even had the first snow of the year,
although it was sleet, it came 9 days earlier than last year,
which has made concerns about this winter even greater.
It really seems like the cold is starting now,
and the thing to worry about in this weather is not just the cold.
You may also be concerned about skin that becomes sensitive because of the dryness and the large temperature differences,
and in situations like this, your skin can also catch a cold.
It is when the skin is easily damaged and becomes tired.
Among these, one of the areas many people worry about most is pores.
There are many reasons why pores enlarge, but reducing them is difficult.
That is why more and more people are looking into the cost of a face pore reduction laser
and worrying about it.
So, what exactly are pores?
Originally, pores referred to openings where hair grows.
But that is not the meaning we think of when we say pores.
Inside pores, there is something called sebaceous glands, which secrete sebum.
Sebaceous glands are one type of gland in the dermis and are located next to hair follicles,
where they secrete oil,
that is, sebum.
Since hair follicles are skin structures that produce hair, they are naturally below the pores,
and because sebaceous glands are attached next to them,
sebaceous glands can be considered to exist within the pores.
Many people think negatively about sebum,
but in fact, sebum does not originally play a negative role.
Sebum suppresses moisture evaporation, giving the skin a healthy glow,
and because fatty acids are contained in sebum, it has a bactericidal effect.
Also, when sebum is secreted onto the skin surface, it mixes with sweat to form a sebum film like a natural cream.
In this state, sebum and sweat mix with each other and create an emulsion.
In addition, it plays various positive roles.

Then why do pores widen in the first place?
There are two main reasons why pores become larger.
The first reason is excessive sebum secretion.
As mentioned earlier, sebaceous glands are attached next to the hair follicles below the pores,
and they can be stimulated by factors such as lack of sleep, stress, and hormonal imbalance,
leading to excessive sebum secretion.
Because sebum is pushed out through the pores,
pores can be thought of as the passage through which sebum is released.
If too much sebum is discharged, there is a risk that the pores will enlarge.
Also, when sebum, dead skin cells, and outside impurities mix together, they can clog the pores,
and if this continues for a long time, it can also cause the pores to become larger.
The second reason is that it occurs as skin elasticity declines.
The skin is made up of several layers,
including the outermost epidermis, the dermis, and the inner subcutaneous fat.
Among these, the dermis is made up of hyaluronic acid, elastin, collagen, and more,
and collagen is responsible for skin elasticity.
However, as we age, the collagen that makes up the dermal layer of our body decreases.
As this happens, skin elasticity declines,
and accordingly, the elasticity of the pores also decreases, which causes the pores to become larger.

There are two types of pores,
which can be divided into horizontal pores and vertical pores.
First, horizontal pores are pores that usually appear when
pores enlarge due to excessive sebum.
Horizontal pores usually develop a lot in people from their teens to their mid-20s,
and they have a round shape.
Vertical pores refer to pores that stretch vertically, parallel to nasolabial folds, due to decreased skin elasticity.
They usually appear more often after the mid-20s,
and are characterized by an oval shape that looks like fine lines,
as a line forms connecting the enlarged pores,
and they often occur when the dermal layer has poor elasticity.
Enlarged pores like these are not only aesthetically unappealing,
but impurities can enter between the stretched pores and cause skin aging,
and impurities can get trapped between pores, leading to problems such as acne and blackheads.

That is why many people look into face pore reduction lasers,
and today, for those people, I would like to introduce the Pico laser.
The Pico laser is a face pore reduction laser that applies PICOSECOND technology,
which delivers high energy in a short amount of time,
so it causes less thermal damage to the surrounding tissue and can minimize the number of treatment sessions.
The reason the Pico laser can deliver strong energy is,
when spraying water from a hose, if you pinch the front end tightly with your finger,
the water pressure that comes out becomes stronger;
it works on a similar principle.
If the laser irradiation time is shortened,
a stronger-energy laser is delivered over that shorter time.

Then you may be curious about what specific features the Pico laser has.
First, the Pico laser's picosecond technology
achieves an ultrashort pulse that is 100 times faster than conventional face pore reduction lasers,
so by delivering the laser over a short time, the procedure is less painful.
And because it is a method that delivers a stronger laser,
the effect that could be obtained through 10 sessions of a conventional pore laser
can be achieved in just 2 to 5 sessions,
so it also has a cost advantage through the reduced number of procedures.
In addition, because the energy is focused and stimulated in the dermal layer through an MLA lens,
there is less skin damage, making it possible to return to daily life immediately after the procedure.

The Pico laser not only has the effect of a face pore reduction laser,
but also offers improvement in pigment-related conditions such as melasma and spots,
and you can even expect wrinkle reduction effects,
which can be understood if you know the principle of the Pico laser.

The Pico laser works by making tiny holes in the dermis below the epidermis
and promoting new collagen synthesis.
Thanks to this, skin elasticity is restored, pores are filled in, and pigment-related skin conditions improve.

At our clinic, we are running the Happy Tuesday and Thursday Day event,
which offers discounts every Tuesday and Thursday on all petit procedures,
including the face pore reduction laser Pico laser.
