Abnormal symptoms caused by inflammation are basically the three major signs of inflammation: pain, swelling, and skin redness.

If you have these symptoms, it is important to determine that they are signs of inflammation and quickly visit the hospital where the surgery was performed to receive treatment.

Other symptoms, such as visibility, sound, and being able to feel something by touch, can be considered symptoms that are not a major problem.

During surgery, anesthetic injections, bleeding, and a certain degree of dissection are part of the process, so swelling occurs.

Immediately after surgery, some people may not be aware of the symptoms in the nose because of this swelling, and because suturing or tying is part of the surgical process, scar tissue holds the inside of the nose in place for about 2 to 3 months after surgery.

Because of this, there may also be a hard feeling.

Starting about 3 months after surgery, the scar tissue begins to soften. During this period, the tip of the nose may feel as if it is slightly dropping, and as the swelling goes down, it may also become visible.

Also, as the tied threads loosen, you may feel that sounds are coming from inside the nose due to the parts inside the nose bumping against each other.

As the swelling goes down and the scar tissue recedes, the area softens, and the long septum inside the nose and the support structure placed in the columella can rub against each other, which may cause these symptoms.

In conclusion, if clicking sounds are heard frequently from the nose, correcting the septum to prevent them from bumping into each other may help improve the symptoms.

The second symptom is a smell.

If inflammation develops inside the septum or in the support structure inside the nose, a smell can occur, but if there is no inflammation, there is no definite cause.

Therefore, because the cartilage structure changes after rhinoplasty, it is thought that some cases may be perceived as a smell because the airflow feels different.

If there is a smell inside the nose after nose surgery, and there are no signs of inflammation, it can be considered a symptom that is not a major problem.
