Hello.
Drawing beauty
This is April 31 Plastic Surgery.
Today, we will take some time to organize the anatomical structure of the nose
by looking at it in cross section.

I will explain the cartilage of the nose.
If you look at the anatomical structure of the nose,
there is a structure that runs horizontally inside the nose.

When viewed in cross section, the cartilage of the nose
is connected up to the tip, but not quite as far as the tip,
and it occupies a certain area.
This is called the nasal septum.
You may have heard of a deviated septum.
It is a term that people with rhinitis or nasal congestion symptoms
may have heard before.

This part serves like a partition that divides the nose into left and right sides.
Some people have a septum that is flat and spread out,
while others have it偏向 one side or bent to one side.
During nasal surgery, except for the front part,
cartilage can be harvested from the back part.

The harvested cartilage is used to heighten the nose.
If you look at the upper part of the cartilage,
it is made of thin bone,
which is called the bony septum.
If necessary, bone is harvested from that area.
Also, because the cartilage structure and nose shape of Asians and Westerners are different,
we carefully check the anatomical structure of the nose when harvesting
and proceed with surgery.
