Hello. This is INIQUE.
What is the cosmetic surgery that many people start looking into as early as their student years?
It is double eyelid surgery.
Recently, it has become so common that some people even refer to it as a procedure rather than surgery.
It is one of the cosmetic surgeries many people seek.
However, even double eyelid surgery that many people undergo can sometimes lead to side effects after the operation.
One of them is multiple eyelid folds, often called a triple eyelid.
Today, INIQUE will explain in detail how to fix multiple eyelid folds.

You may have heard of multiple eyelid fold lines, such as double or triple folds, appearing in more than one layer.
A triple eyelid refers to an unintended fold appearing above the double eyelid line,
and it describes eyes that do not have a smooth line because multiple folds have formed.
Especially when this multiple-eyelid-fold phenomenon occurs after double eyelid surgery,
it can be upsetting and worrying.
So why does it happen?

At INIQUE, the causes of multiple eyelid folds are broadly divided into three categories.
The first case is when the double eyelid line loosens and becomes undone.
This applies when the line was not properly fixed after surgery and has loosened.
The second is when there is insufficient fat or soft tissue above the eyes.
The last is when a triple fold occurs due to adhesions caused by surgery.
If multiple eyelid folds occur after double eyelid surgery or other eye cosmetic procedures,
revision surgery can be used to address them.
So, when is the most appropriate time to undergo revision surgery?
In most cases, eye revision surgery is performed about 6 months after the original surgery.
Generally, the hardened scar tissue softens after about 6 months, so surgery is performed after that period.
However, if the symptoms are very severe
and it is to the point that normal daily life becomes difficult,
revision surgery is performed regardless of timing.

As mentioned earlier, the main causes of triple eyelids are roughly three,
and appropriate surgery must be performed according to each individual cause.
First, what should be done if the double eyelid line has loosened?
If the eyelid fold has become layered because the fixation has come undone or loosened,
re-tightening and firmly fixing the double eyelid line again will solve the problem.
At INIQUE, the double eyelid line is fixed in three layers to help prevent it from loosening.
In addition, by adjusting the depth of the double eyelid,
we use INIQUE's own technique called the Smooth Incision Method,
a multiple-eyelid-fold solution that aims to create a natural line,
and we make various efforts to recreate a smooth double eyelid line.

What should be done if there is insufficient fat or soft tissue above the eyes?
The eyelid consists of skin on the outermost layer,
and underneath that are muscle, other soft tissue, and fat in order.
When there is enough volume above the eyes,
the skin above the double eyelid covers the skin below it,
creating a natural line.
However, if the volume of fat and soft tissue is insufficient,
the skin above the double eyelid sinks in,
causing wrinkles above the double eyelid line
and leading to multiple eyelid folds.
Therefore, we use a multiple-eyelid-fold solution called eyelid fat grafting,
which involves layering micro-fat grafts to prevent clumping.
Lastly, in cases caused by adhesions from surgery,
INIQUE's adhesion release procedure is used to release the adhesions,
and fat and muscle are lowered and inserted so that the adhesions do not recur.
If ptosis is present in the cases above,
eye-opening correction is performed together
for a more natural and smooth double eyelid line
and a brighter-looking eye shape.

Was the multiple-eyelid-fold solution we discussed today helpful?
In the case of multiple eyelid folds, they rarely disappear on their own,
so if they are causing you stress, it is a good idea to visit a clinic,
consult with medical staff accurately,
and look for a solution together.
So, up to here, this was INIQUE, as if it had always been beautiful from the beginning.
Thank you.
