Hello, this is Inique.
When taking ID photos or commemorative photos,
there are times when you think you were smiling enough,
but when you actually look at the photo, your expression seems different from what you expected.
Especially when you tried to open your eyes with effort,
your eyes may look half-closed and sleepy, or even tired,
which can mean you do not have enough strength to open your eyes.
Today, we will look at ptosis symptoms, often called "sleepy eyes,"
and how to improve them through eye correction surgery.

The main symptom of ptosis is that
the eyes look sleepy or unfocused.
However, even if you have never heard from photos or people around you
that your eyes look that way,
there can still be discomfort you experience yourself because of ptosis.
If your field of vision does not feel open when you look straight ahead,
if you feel a stuffy sensation,
if you use your forehead muscles when opening your eyes,
or if your eyelashes often poke your eyes,
these may be symptoms of ptosis.

In ptosis, "ptosis" refers to the eyelid,
and "drooping" means sagging, so ptosis refers to
"a condition where the eyelid droops and obstructs the field of vision."
Usually, ptosis is diagnosed when the eyelid covers
more than 2 mm of the black part of the eye.
For those who experience discomfort due to ptosis
or want to change a sleepy-looking impression,
the ptosis surgery they may choose for improvement is eye correction.

Eye correction improves the strength of the muscles that open the eyes,
so that the eyelids do not cover the eyes too much when opened.
Our eyes open and close as two muscles, the levator palpebrae superioris
and the Müller muscle, contract and relax.
By tightening and shortening these two muscles or their tendons,
the strength of eye opening can be improved, and the eye shape can be corrected.
When this is done without an incision in the skin,
ptosis surgery is called non-incisional eye correction,
and if eye correction is performed without an incision,
there is no need to worry about scars, and the surgery time
and recovery period are short, leading to high satisfaction.

Non-incisional eye correction has the advantages of fast surgery and recovery,
but one drawback is that the correction may loosen over time.
So when Inique performs non-incisional eye correction,
we use high-density non-incisional eye correction,
which creates multiple fixation points to increase durability.
With high-density non-incisional eye correction,
the line is less likely to loosen, so it lasts longer
and forms a smoother line.
In addition, fixation points are placed in appropriate positions
for each area of the eye to help prevent overcorrection.
