What Is the Incision Method for Double Eyelid Surgery?

Among them, double eyelid surgery, a surgery to make the eyes look bigger,

is the number one reason people visit a plastic surgery clinic,

showing just how much interest many people have in it.

But did you know that double eyelid surgery also comes in many different types?

�

Today, among Inek's eye-enlarging surgeries,

we'd like to take a closer look at

Inek's incision method,

Smooth Incision.

At Inek,

we perform eye-enlarging surgery using three methods:

Smooth Incision, High-Density Non-incision Method, and Fat-Removal Non-incision Method.

Today, among these, we'll take a detailed look at the surgical method of

the incision-based Smooth Incision.

In the case of Smooth Incision,

as the name suggests, the eyelid crease is created by making an incision with a scalpel

and then suturing it.

�

Even within incision methods, there are various surgical techniques,

and because each doctor uses a different approach,

the results also appear differently.

�

In double eyelid surgery, the tissue under the skin at the height where the crease is to be created

is anchored to the tarsal plate in the back

to form the crease.

At this time, the fixation height can be chosen,

and the depth of the crease according to the fixation height

is the key point of incision-based double eyelid surgery.

�

For example, if the fixation is pulled upward,

the crease becomes deeply set,

and a sunken scar with a lot of visible scarring may remain.

In severe cases, the eyelashes may also be pulled upward and appear lifted,

which can give an unnatural impression.

�

On the other hand, if it is fixed too low,

the crease may come undone easily

or give the impression of sagging.

�

That is why the eyelid crease fixation is done at about 4 to 5 points

from the front to the back

with the same level of tension.

�

However, if only 4 to 5 points are fixed like this,

if one of the fixation points loosens,

the crease can come undone and the line will no longer look natural.

Also, the front part of the eye is an area where the crease

comes undone very easily.

So if the entire area from front to back is fixed with the same strength,

the front part will always become loose and is bound to loosen over time.

So at Inek, to address this,

we developed Inek's Smooth Incision method.

Compared with a typical incision method,

it increases the number of fixation points to 7 to 9,

and because the intervals are narrower,

even if one point loosens in the middle,

the adjacent fixation point maintains the shape,

which has the advantage of making the line much smoother and longer lasting.

In addition, by using different fixation depths for each area,

the front part, which is prone to loosening, is secured with triple fixation,

and the back part is never fixed too deeply,

because even a slight increase in depth there can create a pinched look.

Triple fixation means

bringing in the tendon of the muscle that opens the eyes

and fixing it all at once.

When this is done,

each time you open your eyes,

the double eyelid is pulled in with it,

so the crease does not come undone

and folds clearly and well.

�

By adjusting the fixation depth to suit each individual,

this is an eye-enlarging surgery that leaves little sign of surgery

and is less likely to come undone.
