Hello.
This is Inique Plastic Surgery.
Today, among the various double eyelid surgery methods,
we will look at a surgical case
performed using the non-incision method for women.

The patient did not have double eyelids,
and the eyelid skin was covering the eyes,
which could give others a sleepy impression.
In cases like this, there are several points
to check before deciding on the eyelid line.
In particular, you can see that the left eyebrow is
slightly raised.
In such cases, it may seem that the lifting strength
of the left eye is weak.
After that, it is important to look at the distance
between the eyebrows and the eyes,
and to check the thickness of the skin.
In this patient’s case,
a slightly higher line was also possible,
and because the skin was on the thinner side,
an incision-free procedure was also
an option.

Also, when looking at the eyes,
we check the horizontal length and the degree of
exposure of the pink inner tissue, called the caruncle.

From the photo, the horizontal length is not bad,
but there is no caruncle exposure on either side.
Because of that, even if the length is fine,
the eyes can still feel somewhat constrained.
In cases like this, the inner epicanthal fold
is the cause, so if a canthoplasty is performed as well,
the eyes can look more refreshed
and more attractive.
The degree of eyeball protrusion also needs to be checked.
We determine whether the eyes are deeply set or protruding,
and depending on this degree of protrusion,
the suitable line and the points to consider when
creating the line will differ, so this is one of
the factors that must be checked.
Lastly, we check the strength of eye opening,
which is evaluated through the degree of exposure
of the black pupil.
For this patient, the eye-opening strength was slightly weaker,
and although the overall degree was similar,
the left side was confirmed to be slightly lower.
Once all of these checks are done,
we then try mapping out the line.
In this case, the patient wanted a natural line
that showed a little more than an in-line,
so after this consultation,
an in-out line was chosen for the female
non-incision double eyelid procedure.

So, after checking the points mentioned above
and mapping out the line,
the eyes were judged to be suitable for
the female non-incision method,
so while performing the procedure,
we reinforced eye-opening strength and
performed ptosis correction to improve symmetry,
and canthoplasty was done together to improve
the feeling of tightness.

On day 5, the micro-incision wounds and
sutures at the canthoplasty area were removed,
and there was still considerable swelling.
Also, on the left side,
more eye-opening correction was applied,
so it looks more swollen. This swelling varies
from person to person, but it usually gradually
subsides after about 2 weeks,
and in the case of the female non-incision method,
after about a month the swelling is mostly gone,
allowing a natural line to be expected.

This is the final photo from 4 months later.
If you take into account that makeup is applied and
contact lenses are worn, the line turned out well as
a refreshing in-out line, which was the desired result,
and you can see that the exposure of the black pupil
on both sides increased significantly compared to before,
showing good symmetry.
Also, since this case originally had good horizontal length,
we did not perform too much canthoplasty,
allowing the caruncle to be naturally exposed,
which made the eyes appear a little larger
and gave a more refreshed impression.
Today, we looked at a case of double eyelid surgery
performed using the female non-incision method
and discussed what points to consider
when figuring out the line and surgical method
that suits you best.
