Hello.
We are Inique,
a clinic that specializes in small-eye surgery.
First impressions are usually shaped mostly by the image conveyed by the eyes, so the eyes can be said to be a very important area in completing a person's overall impression.
Unlike in the past, when large double eyelids were preferred, monolids have also become an attractive feature these days.
However, the reality is that large, refreshing-looking eyes with double eyelids are still a little more preferred.

That is why many people with small monolid eyes without double eyelids think of them as a complex and are considering small-eye surgery.
Today, to help resolve these concerns, let’s take a look at double eyelid surgery with Inique, a clinic specializing in eye surgery.
Double eyelid surgery aims to create a crease on the upper eyelid to make the eyes look bigger and more open.
In the case of small-eye surgery, simply creating a double eyelid on small eyes often does not produce a beautiful line or can make the result look unnatural.
Then what is the way to make the eyes larger while also making them naturally more beautiful?

It is incisional corner surgery.
The types of corner surgery are broadly divided into inner corner surgery, upper corner surgery, mini inner corner surgery, and lower outer corner surgery.

Surgery that opens the inner corner of the eye is all intended to refine the epicanthal fold.
When the eyes are closed, the epicanthal fold is visible.
This epicanthal fold is not easily seen in Caucasians, but because it is mainly seen in East Asians, it is called the epicanthal fold.
If you have an epicanthal fold, the inner part of the eye looks somewhat round and closed off, so opening it up can make the eyes look much longer and more refreshing.

Inner corner surgery refers to opening the epicanthal fold toward the nose to refresh the inner part of the eye and make the eyes look longer.
If the epicanthal fold blocks the upper area or if the distance between the eyes is close and it is difficult to open toward the nose, upper corner surgery is performed.
Therefore, inner corner surgery and upper corner surgery can be said to use the same surgical principle, with only the direction being different.
Another procedure that is often performed at Inique, a clinic known for small-eye surgery, is mini inner corner surgery.
This mini inner corner surgery also refines the epicanthal fold, but it is performed when the distance between the eyes is close so it should not be opened too much, or when the patient has already had inner corner surgery and does not want more of the lacrimal caruncle exposed, only wanting the shape refined.

Mini inner corner surgery limits the dissection range to the epicanthal fold itself and does not touch the surrounding area, so it has the advantage of refining only the shape and angle without opening the eyes too much,
and it can minimize scarring.

Lastly, lower outer corner surgery is a type of small-eye surgery mainly performed by people whose outer eye corners are significantly raised.
Our eyes are considered most ideal when the angle of the line connecting the points at the inner and outer corners of the eye is about 5 to 10 degrees.
If it exceeds that, the outer corner is considered to be raised.
In such cases, the outer part is opened as in outer corner surgery, and then an incision is made slightly below the lower eyelashes and fixed to the outer bone to lower it.
This surgical method is also called lowering the outer corner of the eye.
By lowering the angle of the outer corner and making the eyes look longer, a sharp impression can be changed into a softer one.
All surgeries can have side effects.
At Inique, regardless of the procedure, we plan a safe approach to minimize the risk of side effects.
Today, we looked at corner surgery, which is effective for small-eye surgery.
If you are concerned about small eyes, design a larger, more refreshing eye shape that suits you with Inique.
Then, this has been Inique,
as if you had always been pretty from the start.
Thank you.
