Hello, this is iNique.
According to the principles of the universe,
all living things in the world are born
and then grow older.
And as people age,
it is very natural
to experience signs of aging.
So even if you look older
and have wrinkles and sagging,
that does not mean anything is wrong.

However, as we live in society,
the recent trend has been
to maintain a youthful appearance even as we age,
and this has become
an aesthetic standard.
As a result, people’s interest in ways to
look younger than their actual age
is steadily increasing.

The reason younger skin tends to have better elasticity
and a healthy glow
is because of hormonal effects.
However, starting in your 30s,
these hormones gradually begin to decline.
In particular, as skin moisture decreases,
elasticity also declines,
making sagging more likely.
Among these changes, the skin around the eyes
also develops wrinkles and sagging
as the elasticity of nearby tissues and fat layers decreases.

These signs of aging around the under-eye area
can make someone look older by default,
and can create a tired or fatigued impression,
so they may become a major concern for the person.
In addition, symptoms such as
protruding under-eye fat
or obstruction of the field of vision
can also cause functional discomfort.

To improve these sagging and wrinkle issues
and create a lively, youthful face,
iNique performs under-eye sagging surgery.

At present, iNique’s under-eye sagging surgery methods
mainly include under-eye fat repositioning
and lower blepharoplasty,
and the appropriate method can be chosen
after diagnosing each individual’s condition.

iNique’s under-eye fat repositioning for under-eye sagging
is performed using a principle different from conventional methods.
It is a completely different surgical concept,
and its key feature is that the fat under the eyes
is not excessively removed.
If too much fat is removed,
the lower area is at higher risk of becoming hollow,
which can reduce the quality of the result,
and can also cause issues such as
swelling that does not subside quickly.

However, iNique Plastic Surgery’s under-eye fat repositioning
is performed with a method centered on a thin, transparent membrane
called SAC.
After opening the membrane completely,
the fat is divided into small pieces
and evenly spread across the surface under the eyes
to smooth it out.

This under-eye sagging method can be applied not only to middle-aged adults
but also to people in their 20s and 30s.
It can also be performed on older adults,
but if the sagging is severe,
we recommend lower blepharoplasty.

For better results,
we use the high-end Encore Ultrapulse laser.
This laser is characterized by its delicate and powerful output,
enough to separate the required amount of fat
even with just a single laser application.
It also allows precise operation,
reducing damage to surrounding tissues
and helping to lessen swelling, bleeding, and pain.

In the case of middle-aged and older adults,
a full-scale aging process often leads to pronounced sagging.
For such cases,
lower blepharoplasty can be used to improve the condition more effectively.
This method does not remove all of the sagging skin tissue under the eyes;
instead, it excises about 80% of it,
and repositions the protruding fat for a stable procedure.
As a result, you can expect a clean and natural under-eye result.

The key point to watch when improving under-eye sagging
with lower blepharoplasty is
ectropion, which can occur as a side effect.
To put it simply, ectropion means the lower eyelid turns outward,
and it can occur if too much skin is removed
when performing lower blepharoplasty.
Therefore, when attempting surgery,
the key is to preserve as much muscle as possible
while keeping the amount of skin removal at an appropriate level,
around 80%.

So far, we have explained two ways
that iNique improves under-eye sagging.
