This is Timeless Mapo Main Branch, where we create healthy beauty together.

In the course of providing care, there are many moments when we first come face-to-face with our patients’ feelings before diagnosing the condition of their skin.

> “Doctor, when I looked in the mirror, > I suddenly felt like I had aged so much. > I was so upset that I came here…”

> “I want my skin to improve naturally, > but could there be any side effects?”

> “My first child is getting married soon, > and I realize I’ve been living far too hectic a life. > > I want to look even a little prettier > for the wedding ceremony.”

When I listen to stories like these, I realize that treating the skin means caring for far more than I had expected.

In fact, I also experienced considerable stress because of my skin during my school years.

I had severe acne and scarring, frequent hives, an oily face, and a body that was very dry and sensitive, so I could not wear just any clothes.

When my skin was in poor condition, I was always conscious of other people’s gazes, and my confidence dropped considerably.

It even became difficult for me to meet other people.

However, as my skin improved through consistent treatment, my attitude toward others and the way I viewed myself gradually changed as well.

Through that experience, I personally came to understand that the skin can change not only one’s outward appearance, but also one’s confidence and everyday life.

I think that was probably when it began.

I naturally became interested in dermatology,

and I began wanting to create positive changes for people who were experiencing the same concerns I had.

Perhaps for that reason, even now, I cannot simply overlook my patients’ concerns when I hear them.

Because I have gone through the same experiences, I can understand, at least to some extent, the earnest hopes that brought them to the clinic.

Rather than simply treating the skin, I want to help patients regain their confidence.

That remains the most important direction of my practice today.

01. The best results come from care without overdoing it

The question I always keep in mind when providing care is: “What treatment does this person need right now?”

The skin does not necessarily improve just because many procedures are performed, or because several procedures are received at the same time.

The healthiest and most lasting results come when we make gradual changes, without overreaching, by choosing what you need within what your skin can handle.

That is why I always keep the saying “too much is as bad as too little” in mind.

These days, there are many treatments that promise dramatic changes in a short period of time.

However, I believe that the process of improving safely, one step at a time, and ultimately creating a difference as those improvements accumulate is far more important than a temporary change that is immediately visible.

For that reason, even if a treatment is popular, I first verify it myself, and I never recommend a treatment unless I am personally confident in it.

If a procedure is not truly necessary, I honestly tell patients, “You do not need to have it done right now.”

Ultimately, prioritizing long-term skin health over immediate satisfaction is what is best for the patient. :)

I explain it to patients honestly and without embellishment, and create a treatment plan accordingly.

The value I want to provide through skin treatment is not simply a prettier face.

and age naturally alongside healthy skin.

I believe that is what true “well-aging” means.

This has been my unwavering original intention and belief, from the time I considered the name when opening the clinic until today.
