While You Were Sleeping is a film about love, fate, and the complicated relationships between people, and it leaves a strong aftertaste.

Just as Lisa Alex had chased after Matthew as if under a spell, Matthew also happened to spot Lisa, whom he had only seen in the camcorder footage, in front of a shop and approached her first.

Luke is Matthew’s best friend, and he ends up falling in love with an actress who comes to the shoe store he runs.

Lisa, who began to love the actress, and Matthew accept each other’s feelings and love one another enough to promise a future.

Then Matthew gets a long-term work assignment related to photography and asks Lisa, who was dancing, to go with him.

The timing is unfortunate, as Lisa is busy preparing for a performance, so she hides her feelings for him and agrees to meet him the next afternoon at Wicker Park.

Meanwhile, Lisa’s ex-boyfriend Daniel was stalking her, and Alex used him to break into Lisa’s house and try to throw Matthew into confusion.

But Matthew had sensed that something was wrong.

To uncover Alex’s scheme, he firmly prepared for a fight with Alex.

The final showdown with Alex began.

Now it was time for everything to be revealed.

Matthew and Lisa began to slowly open their hearts as they understood each other and went through suffering and hardship.

The letter from Lisa, delivered through Alex’s hands, gave Matthew great courage, and his heart was no longer confused.

At last, Matthew arrived at the airport and began looking for Lisa, and they had a sincere conversation filled with honest feelings for each other.

Their love was not madness, but true love, and they found each other again.

They believed in the miracle of one-sided love, and it became reality.

The OST that played at the end perfectly completed their love story and beautiful ending.

That song is etched deep in the heart and will not be forgotten for a while.

Watching the film While You Were Sleeping, I think it must have been a bit of a relief for people who dislike sad endings.

Up until the middle of the movie, Alex’s actions were so hateful, and the way the male and female leads kept missing each other was frustrating.

Later, my heart hurt so much.

I could feel how situations sometimes do not work out no matter how hard you try, and how difficult love can be.

I think of the ending of this film.

Lisa has given up on everything and is sitting there collapsed, and Matthew approaching from behind makes my heart ache.

Matthew may realistically be a bad guy, but I will leave him as a pure romantic.
