To get straight to the point,

it is not an exaggeration to say that the survival rate depends on

how the fat is handled before surgery.

For fat cells to survive in their new location,

blood vessels must reconnect.

Medically, this process is divided into two stages.

At first, the cells endure by receiving nutrients from the surrounding tissue fluid,

and then they settle in stably

when new blood vessels grow in.

Whether the cells can withstand these two stages depends on the state of the cells

when they arrive at the graft site,

and this has a decisive effect on the final survival rate.

However, if the negative pressure during suction is too strong,

the cell membrane can rupture.

Damaged cells cannot create new blood vessels,

and eventually they necrose or are absorbed and disappear.

This is why, even if the same amount is injected,

one person’s volume lasts a long time,

while another person’s chest quickly looks noticeably deflated.

One more thing worth knowing is that

the harvested fat is not used immediately as it is.

to filter out only the pure, viable cells.

it is only a matter of selecting damaged cells.

That is the grafting method,

in other words, how the fat is injected.

The key principle is to inject small amounts in multiple layers.

If a large amount of fat is injected all at once

into one area,

the cells will press against one another.

The cells in the center,

the less oxygen and nutrients can reach them, making necrosis more likely.

To prevent this,

we use a method of placing the fat little by little, in three dimensions, from multiple directions.

In addition, the choice of layer is also important.

Because blood flow supply differs by area in the breast,

you need to carefully plan how much to place in which layer

so that the cells can settle stably.

For this reason, we intentionally limit the amount injected at one time

and divide it into three layers—under the muscle, above the muscle, and the subcutaneous fat layer—

injecting small amounts each time.

Of course, a longer surgery time

is not easy for us either.

But if we do not do it that way,

the volume may look bigger right away,

but after a few months there may be a situation where absorption becomes severe.

A result in which the injected fat grafts well and remains long-lasting,
