Stem Cell Breast Fat Grafting,
Why the Survival Rate Is Not Everything
Hello.
This is Globi Plastic Surgery Clinic.

Stem cell breast fat grafting
A clinic that follows the principles of plastic surgery, Globi Plastic Surgery Clinic
---
The most important thing in plastic surgery is to follow the basics. Plastic surgery should be designed with a patient’s entire life in mind. Both the process and the results of plastic surgery must be safe. Globi always puts the patient first.
Consultation is an important step that leads to surgery. To help ensure that you are satisfied with the results, we promise personalized consultations with medical staff who have extensive clinical experience.
Aftercare can be said to be an extension of surgery. To help patients recover quickly, we provide personalized care programs.
We have been performing stem cell breast fat grafting for a long time,
and have built deep clinical experience in this field.
When we consult with people considering surgery,
many worry that the transferred fat will disappear quickly.
The idea of filling the breasts with your own body fat without implants
is certainly appealing.
But when it comes time to decide,
there are many uncertain points, such as how high the survival rate is,
how the results change after absorption,
and whether the desired volume can actually be achieved,
so people often find it difficult to make a decision.
That is why, in this post, before deciding on this surgery,
we would like to point out the two key things
you must know in advance.
If you read to the end,
I believe your vague concerns will become much clearer.
The key is where the stem cells are extracted from.
Stem cell breast fat grafting
When looking into this procedure,
the word stem cell comes up repeatedly.
However,
not many people directly ask,
"Where exactly do the stem cells come from?"

In fact, this is the most important factor
determining the outcome.
Stem cells exist far more abundantly in "adipose tissue"
than in blood.
After fat is suctioned out and undergoes centrifugation,
a component called the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) is separated,
and this contains a rich amount of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs).
To put it simply:
for transplanted fat to take hold,
new blood vessels must form around it so that blood supply can be established,
and adipose-derived stem cells play the role of promoting that vessel-forming process.
So it is not just about adding fat,
but about creating the environment that allows the transplanted cells to survive.

If simple fat grafting is like planting only "seeds" in dry soil,
stem cell fat grafting is like preparing fertile soil
and opening up the "waterway" (blood vessels)
so the seeds can take root properly.
Rather than simply filling in material (fat),
the key is directly building a "survival environment."
That is why, during consultations,
we tend to explain this point first.
Even for the same surgery,
results can differ depending on how the internal process is designed.
Rather than judging based only on the name of the component,
I want to emphasize that you should look into the process behind it as well.
The outcome is determined more by graft design than by the survival rate.
Stem cell breast fat grafting
The number one figure people check when looking for a clinic is the survival rate,
but in fact, that alone makes it difficult to fully predict the results.
There is another factor that has an even more direct impact on the outcome
than the survival rate does.

That is how the graft volume is designed.
With fat grafting, injecting more does not automatically produce better results.
For the transplanted cells to survive,
they need oxygen and nutrients from the surrounding tissue,
but if too much fat is concentrated in one space,
blood cannot reach the center,
which can lead to necrosis or calcification.

So when placing fat, the key is triple-layer grafting,
in which the fat is distributed in multiple thin layers,
but this process is not as simple as it sounds.
During the operation,
the surgeon must judge in real time which layer to place it in,
in what direction, and how much to distribute.
Because such a high level of precision is required,
the surgeon’s tactile sense can make all the difference in the final result.
Also, if you aim for a large volume from the start,
the survival rate may actually decrease,
and the result can end up looking uneven.

Stem cell breast fat grafting
That is why we usually talk first about a stable graft range
that is realistic, rather than only the target volume.
This is also why our clinic spends enough time on preoperative consultations.
Even deciding on the amount of graft requires considering body type,
tissue elasticity, available donor areas, and the target volume together.
Stem cell breast fat grafting is appealing because it can create a natural change
using your own body tissue.
However, that also means the range of results can vary widely
depending on how it is planned
and by whom.
I sincerely hope this post has been helpful,
even if only a little, in understanding that process.
