When considering breast fat grafting,
the first thing most people do is search for reviews.
But when you actually look,
you may find yourself even more confused
because the posts are divided into extremes:
“Everything was great” and
“It was not very good.”
In fact, both types of reviews can be accurate at the same time.
Even with the same procedure,
results can vary greatly depending on body type,
the surgical method, and postoperative care.
That is why today we will explain
what criteria to use when filtering through reviews
and how the actual procedure is carried out,
based on information confirmed in clinical practice.
Before letting a single line in a review sway you,
we recommend reading this article first.
Breast Fat Grafting Reviews:
How to Read Them Without Being Misled
Breast Fat Grafting Reviews
There is something we often hear in the consultation room:
“I became more anxious after reading reviews.
The results seem so different from person to person.”
That feeling is completely understandable.
Results in breast fat grafting reviews tend to seem particularly varied.
However, if you first identify these three factors—
the reviewer's body type, the surgical method, and when the review was written—
you can begin to see how closely the post relates to your own situation.

The first factor to examine is
the reviewer's body type.
Because fat grafting involves transferring fat
taken from the patient's own body,
the amount that can be obtained affects the result from the beginning.
When fat is harvested from the front and back of the thighs,
approximately 500 cc of pure fat cells may be obtained after centrifugation.
However, people with very low body fat may have to begin
with less than half that amount.
Since the amount available for grafting differs from the start,
it is natural for the results to vary.
Therefore, if this background information is missing from a review,
it is difficult to make an objective comparison.

The next factor is how specifically the surgical method is described.
“I had fat grafting.”
A single line like this is not enough to serve as a basis for judgment.
The triple-layer grafting method divides the fat into small amounts
and places it under the muscle, under the mammary gland tissue,
and under the skin.
This is a key technique for preventing the fat from clumping and becoming necrotic.
When SVF (stem cells) are grafted together with the fat,
there can also be a meaningful difference in how quickly the fat cells
settle into their new environment.
The more specifically such details are included in a review,
the more useful it is as a reference.

The final factor is when the review was written.
It takes approximately three months
for the grafted fat to become stably established.
A comment saying “I look so beautiful”
one week after surgery may reflect the appearance
while swelling is still present.
A comment saying “The volume has decreased a lot”
a month after surgery may have been written
while observing the volume that naturally decreases during the establishment process.
Therefore, reviews describing the progress at least three months after surgery
should be used as the reference point for a practical assessment.

One more point: we do not recommend this procedure
for people with very low body fat or insufficient harvestable fat.
If the procedure is performed forcefully when there is not enough material,
it is likely to lead to results that fall short of expectations,
and the patient bears the resulting disappointment.
For these patients, we believe it is more honest
to discuss implant surgery first.
The Most Frequently Asked Questions
About the Surgical Process and Recovery Period
Breast Fat Grafting Reviews
“I really do not know what happens on the day of surgery.
It feels vaguely frightening.”
When you do not know the surgical process,
your mind tends to picture the worst possible scenario first.
Knowing the actual process in advance
can significantly reduce that uncertainty.
The surgery generally proceeds in four stages.

The design stage involves directly examining
the position of the lower breast fold and differences between the two sides,
and marking both the areas to be grafted and those to be left untouched.
The fat-harvesting stage involves removing fat from the thighs
while considering balance so that the pelvic line is not disrupted.
In the grafting stage, pure fat cells are separated through centrifugation
and injected through small incisions made in inconspicuous areas,
such as the underarm crease.
The final stage is recovery,
during which the progress is monitored.
If you know this entire process in advance,
you can approach the unfamiliar situation on the day of surgery
with a more comfortable state of mind.
Here are some of the questions we hear most often during recovery.
When will the swelling go down?

Swelling in the grafted area is usually most severe
two to four days after surgery
and decreases noticeably within a week.
However, it is normal for the thighs from which fat was harvested
to become more swollen between days five and ten.
Some people are surprised because they do not know about this stage,
so we mention it in advance.
Overall swelling stabilizes
over a period of two weeks to one month.
How much pain should I expect?
Many people feel more pain in the thighs where the fat was harvested
than in the grafted area.
It can usually be controlled adequately with prescribed medication,
and Tylenol may be taken additionally if the pain is severe.
For two to three days after surgery,
you may feel dizzy when standing up suddenly or climbing stairs,
so it is advisable to take care.
When can I wear underwire bras?
In the early stages, underwires or firm padding
may press on the grafted area and interfere with blood flow.
Therefore, we recommend wearing underwear made of soft materials
for at least one month.
Even after one month, if the pressure still feels uncomfortable,
it is better to wait a little longer to support fat establishment.
You should avoid dieting for one month after surgery.
If you lose weight rapidly, even the living fat cells may decrease along with it.
During this period, it is much wiser to maintain nutritious meals
and support blood circulation with light walks.
Alcohol and smoking, including secondhand smoke,
must be avoided before and after surgery.
You may visit saunas and heated spas starting one month later.

If you still have questions after reading reviews,
are wondering what kind of results you can expect
based on your body type,
or are unsure how to plan your recovery schedule,
we recommend confirming these points directly during a consultation.
Globie's policy is to explain potential side effects
and the limitations of surgery as they are.
