I see completely different opinions online.

Whenever we receive this question, we explain one thing:

No incision method can eliminate scars.

The key is choosing the location where the scar can be concealed most effectively. This choice should be based not on trends, but on your body shape and skin structure.

An armpit incision does not leave a direct incision line on the breast itself, which can reduce psychological stress. It also allows for a precise approach by securing visibility with high-resolution endoscopic equipment.

This method is especially recommended for people who are sensitive about scars, unmarried patients, and those who frequently wear swimsuits.

An inframammary incision allows the lower breast line to be shaped most precisely immediately after surgery. It is especially advantageous when inserting a large implant or when securing the implant's position is important, and it enables precise correction.

Because it is naturally concealed when standing or wearing clothes, it generally causes little inconvenience in daily life.

An areolar incision allows the height of the inframammary line to be adjusted flexibly during surgery, making it particularly useful in revision surgery or cases involving correction of asymmetry between the left and right sides.

However, if the areola is exceptionally small or it is difficult to secure sufficient space because of the armpit structure, there may be situations in which it is difficult to proceed with the method you originally wanted.

Conversely, placing an excessively firm implant in someone with sufficient natural volume may result in an unnatural feel.

Motiva has demonstrated stability internationally, and its strength is that it naturally follows the body's movements.

Mentor Smooth is a notable option in terms of feel, but it has relatively weak shape retention on its own, making it more suitable for people who have a certain level of natural tissue volume.

We once had a 37-year-old patient visit us after experiencing a significant loss of volume following childbirth. She chose a 300cc Mentor Smooth implant because she wanted a clear restoration of volume and a natural feel.
