While preparing for the anterior teeth treatment seminar,

Preparing a lecture is really difficult

Back when I was an employed dentist,

even if I saw a lot of patients during the week,

I had enough energy to travel around the country on weekends

But after opening my own clinic, I can’t do anything on weekends

Even if I rest for 1.5 straight days from Saturday afternoon through Sunday,

it doesn’t feel like I’ve rested at all

I went somewhere in Gwanak-gu to buy used baby items through Karrot,

and as soon as I got off the elevator, it was so pretty that I took a picture

I sent it to my wife, who was out with the baby, so she could see it too,

and I was sad I couldn’t enjoy it alone

These days, when we both can’t go out,

our alone time is whispering while the baby sleeps

Of course, 99% of that is baby talk

Before we had our baby,

my wife and I ate at a famous pizza place and took a walk,

and then decided to go inside that apartment complex

It was really nice there

Quiet and with beautiful landscaping

It’s not right by a station, but it’s in the Bangbae Station area

It’s on a hill, not flat ground, but it isn’t difficult

It’s not this area exactly, but Bangbae-dong is a neighborhood where my wife has lived her whole life,

so I thought it would be nice to live in this area

I wondered if all apartments these days are this nice

But I don’t have the money to live there

If I had lived in a provincial city,

I probably could have planned to buy one apartment

But in Seoul, housing prices are really insane

The one-room apartment near Isu Station I had when I first came up to Seoul

when I was commuting to Mok-dong

This was 4 million won deposit and 400,000 won a month, but

by the time I moved out, the rent had gone up again

It was so small I could barely move in the bathroom,

and with the budget I had around then,

I probably could have rented a 59-square-meter place if I had gone to Sejong City
