24 Months After Lower Eyelid Surgery I Recommended to My Family

Convincing My Mother in Her 60s

My mother, who works in a field focused on healing the inner self,

My mother did not hope for a drastic change,

lower blepharoplasty, fat grafting, and nano fat grafting.

When ordinary people hear “lower blepharoplasty,”

they often think it is simply a surgery

simply removing fat does not create the result shown above.

Unexpected hollowness can occur,

There is fat under the eyes,

but there is also stretched skin

and sunken areas...

So using only one method

does not produce a good result.

And my goal was only for my mother to return to

roughly how she looked when she was a little younger in the past.

Some people expect there to be no wrinkles at all

after lower blepharoplasty...

Excessive desire can sometimes lead to side effects.

Even if wrinkles are completely removed without side effects,

if the result does not match the rest of the face,

it can look artificial and awkward.

So I set the surgical goal for my mother as

a natural result that would restore a slightly younger version of her past appearance.

Here is the method I used for my mother.

Lower blepharoplasty	Fat grafting	Nano fat grafting
Reposition excess fat to the hollow under-eye area	Fat grafting into the deep layer of the sunken area	Nano fat grafting into the shallow layer of the sunken area (can minimize the side effect of a lumpy under-eye area)

It may be a family trait,

(but I’m also the type who needs fat grafting more than lower blepharoplasty ㅠ)

my mother had insufficient fat volume (red markings)

to fully fill the hollow areas (blue markings).

So, to reduce what was unnecessary

while also filling what was needed,

I used a variety of methods.

All medical professionals say something similar.

That treating family members or acquaintances is burdensome...

And because plastic surgery involves external stimulation

such as incisions or tissue removal,

it inevitably goes through an uncomfortable recovery process.

But with people close to you,

Of course, I know that even mentioning small things

is all meant as encouragement for my growth...

but honestly, I did think,

There are things I regret,

but personally, I think it is a satisfactory result.

My mother also likes that it is not excessive

and suits her age.

In fact, if you try to iron out and remove every wrinkle,

you can run into problems.

So, within a safe range,

this is the result I recommend for my family.

Even though some under-eye grooves and wrinkles remain,

it is important that they harmonize with the rest of the face.

It may not be something medical staff specializing in aging would say...

but the traces of time that naturally seep into the face

are not necessarily a bad thing.

Sometimes, moderate wrinkles can also make a person seem wiser, more dignified,

and more experienced.

Therefore, I think plastic surgery should not remove

even these positive traces of time

written on the face.
