Hello, this is Park Seong-hyeok from NunNopI Plastic Surgery.
While I was preparing to open my clinic, I once met my mentor,
and he said just one thing:
Hey! Don’t waste your time on useless things.
Think about how you’re going to advertise your clinic!
Now that I’ve opened my practice, I really feel how true those words were.
For a self-employed business owner,
marketing strategy is very important...

If you don’t let customers know who you are
and what kind of treatment you’re good at,
then even if you’re highly skilled,
patients have no way of knowing me.
For me, the kinds of ads I can do on Naver with a limited budget
are basically
the blog and Knowledge iN....

Naver Knowledge iN is something I found fun in its own way
because I was answering questions,
so after work I would work hard on replies late at night and on weekends.
It feels too wasteful to spend marketing money on something meaningless,
so I was trying to make a living,
and then Naver sends me this ㅎㅎ

Actually, as I kept doing Knowledge iN activities, I came to realize something:
these days, I see a lot of hired people posting fabricated questions
and fabricated answers.
Usually, these kinds of questions start with an awkward sentence that forcibly includes a local keyword in the title.
Looking into Gangnam facelift...
These days, I’m not sure if it’s a trend among agencies, but they ask questions while revealing their age, and it feels like this.
I’m a woman in my 50s in Seoul. I’m looking into a Gangnam facelift because of wrinkles.
I’m also looking into facelift side effects, but I plan to go somewhere that does Gangnam facelifts well.
The results should be good, right?
And then a long answer to the question gets posted very quickly.
Ah, how nice—your side even has comment operatives...
They say it’s simply for exposure for the business,
but the questions and comments are so clearly soulless
that they feel like pollution,
so these days my motivation for Knowledge iN activities has dropped.
Actually, it’s the same not just for Knowledge iN but for blogs too...
Advertising in the Naver ecosystem feels a bit like
pouring water endlessly into a bottomless pit.
For a small business owner like me,
I feel like trying to win with volume even if the quality drops
just doesn’t suit me very well.
The plaque arrived,
so I wrote this because I felt a little bitter ㅎ
