It uses the same 6.78MHz as Thermage, and is additionally equipped with a 2MHz dual frequency, complementing Thermage’s effect, and its excellent cooling system helps reduce pain.

With so many advantages, doesn’t it make you wonder why XERF is cheaper than Thermage?

The secret lies in the radiofrequency tip (effector). Thermage uses about 600 shots and must use up one tip within 3 hours.

In other words, for customers in their 30s and 40s who are not yet experiencing severe wrinkles or sagging, but want to maintain their youth and prevent aging, it is not possible to say, "Let’s do 300 shots this time and finish the remaining 300 shots next time." ㅠㅠ In the end, the reason Thermage is priced at over 2 million won per session is because all 600 shots have to be used at once ㅠㅠ

But XERF allows treatment to be divided into sessions of 200 to 300 shots.

Characteristics of radiofrequency lifting

Existing lifting devices are generally broadly classified into three methods: radiofrequency, ultrasound, and light (light/laser)... Ultrasound is represented by Ulthera and Shurink, and lasers are widely known through BBL and Titanium lifting. For radiofrequency, Thermage, Oligio, InMode, Density, Tens Therma, and XERF are widely recognized.

The common point of these lifting laser devices is that they apply heat to the intended depth.

Among them, radiofrequency uniformly delivers heat to the dermis and subcutaneous fat layer, creating new collagen and activating fibroblasts to restore elasticity.

Because the applied radiofrequency energy does not destroy the fat layer, cheek hollowness is generally not a concern. (As an exception, InMode uses vacuum suction, so while it is less focused on promoting collagen production, it destroys fat cells.)

1. Deep energy delivery

XERF is performed by selecting three modes for each facial area: shallow, middle, and deep...

When performed in deep mode, it delivers not only 6.78MHz but also two frequencies, including 2MHz.

Because of this additional frequency, it can penetrate slightly deeper into the skin than Thermage.

2. Less pain

The second feature is that, unlike Ultra Thermage, which requires sleep anesthesia because of pain, it can be performed with only topical anesthetic cream. The reason is its excellent cooling function, and not only that, the energy is divided into 12 sub-pulses, with the intervals between each pulse starting short and gradually becoming longer, thanks to the Wave Fit Pulse function.
