People who come in for consultations about eyelid revision surgery are all cautious. Because they have already experienced at least one failed eye surgery, they have a great fear of another failure. But more often than you might think, there are cases where surgery can be done with a simple method, and even if surgery is difficult, it can still create dramatic changes. Today, I’ll show examples of various cases of incorrect double eyelids and analyze them. If any of these apply to you, please gather your courage and book a consultation.
I am Director Im Seong-yun, a plastic surgeon with 21 years of experience and 9 years since opening my clinic. I specialized in microsurgery, and eyelid surgery is my main surgical field. In particular, I take great pride in eyelid revision surgery. Difficult and challenging eyelid revision cases are always a challenge, but after many years of surgery and a great deal of experience, I have learned a lot about which methods create the best results while minimizing scarring. Today, I want to share that part with you.

<Key tips for eyelid revision surgery!>
-
In eyelid revision surgery, when lowering a high crease, incision surgery is basically essential. However, in contrast, correcting asymmetry in a low crease may also be possible with non-incisional double eyelid surgery depending on the case.
-
In eyelid revision surgery, revision after incision double eyelid surgery is usually the most difficult.
-
The double-line technique has a chance of failure, so an accurate evaluation before surgery is necessary.
-
If fat grafting to the upper eyelid is used well, it can both lower the crease and improve hollowing in the upper eyelid.
-
When the eyes do not open properly after incision double eyelid surgery, eyelid correction is absolutely necessary, and the muscle that opens the eyes must be repositioned.
-
Sausage-eye correction surgery ranges from moderately difficult to very difficult depending on the case.
So far, I have shown various preoperative double eyelid cases that can be improved.
Do any of these look familiar?
It is truly difficult to go through another failed revision surgery. To avoid another failure, careful analysis, a good plan, and safe surgery are very important in revision cases. For that, the surgeon’s experience and skill are essential.
Not every case is possible. But if your case is one that can be improved, and if you feel trust in me, please contact Just Plastic Surgery for a consultation.
