Hello, this is Dr. Park from Relieve Clinic, working to ease pain on the journey to beauty.
These days, Potenza treatments are becoming extremely well known both in Korea and overseas.

When people come in because of pores that make makeup sit unevenly, rough skin texture, and dull, dry-looking skin, they often ask,
“How can we improve pores and skin texture at the same time?”
There are several options, but one good choice is Potenza.

What is Potenza?
Potenza is a microneedle radiofrequency device. Simply put, thin needles enter the skin and emit radiofrequency energy before coming back out. In the process, it strongly stimulates collagen regeneration.
Unlike older devices such as Fraxel, which only target the surface, you can think of it as a device that helps restructure the skin itself.

Potenza effects
-
Pore reduction
-
Improved skin texture
-
Acne relief
-
Improved acne scars
-
Enhanced skin elasticity
As collagen and elastin are reorganized and newly produced within the skin, the pores become tighter. Patients who have received Potenza most often say that skin unevenness decreases and makeup goes on more smoothly.
It is also a versatile device that can help speed up the improvement of red acne scars and may also be effective for fine lines or melasma.

Is Potenza painful??
In general, Potenza treatment is classified as a very painful procedure. But as someone who dislikes pain, I would not leave Potenza pain alone. With strong numbing cream + enough numbing time (+ occasionally nerve anesthesia), most people say it feels only slightly stinging. There are also people who say they cried while getting Potenza, but usually the numbing time was within about 15 minutes... Just thinking about it is terrifying...

Key points of Potenza treatment
What matters in Potenza treatment, I think, is the practitioner’s intention and goal.
What makes Potenza such an attractive device is that depth, intensity, principle, and other factors can be adjusted to match the practitioner’s intention. Because so many variables can be controlled, there can also be a big difference in results from one clinic to another. The number of shots is also very important. I remember being surprised when I heard that some factory-style dermatology clinics perform only 200 to 300 shots... If that’s the case, you might as well do MTS...
Anyway, Potenza is one of my favorite procedures, and next time I’ll write about DoubleTite, which is more specialized for pores than Potenza and causes less pain. Thank you.
