The saying that beauty has to hurt—I think that is wrong.
Especially in lifting procedures, the level of pain is often the biggest barrier for patients.

Do you want to try lifting but are worried about pain and recovery time?
Today, I’ll explain Liftera’s Pen Type and Line Type, which minimize the burden of pain while providing both immediate and long-term lifting, as well as how long the results last.

What is Liftera?
Liftera is a noninvasive lifting device that uses HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology.
It concentrates high-frequency ultrasound pulses with a ceramic device to create a “thermal coagulation zone” in the dermis and SMAS layer.
During this process, skin tissue contracts and collagen regenerates at the same time,
which helps with lifting effects, tightening, and contour definition.
Because TDT technology is applied, energy can be continuously delivered without damaging the skin surface,
allowing a wider variety of thermal energy delivery than conventional HIFU, with less pain and faster recovery.

Another feature of Liftera is that
it is divided into two methods, Pen Type and Line Type, so treatment can be focused on the desired area or the area of concern.
● Liftera Pen Type
-
Targets curved areas (around the eyes, around the mouth, under the chin, etc.)
-
Forms thermal coagulation zones densely in a dot pattern on specific areas, allowing detailed and delicate contour correction
-
Suitable for lifting that requires fine design and for improving localized elasticity
● Liftera Line Type
-
Delivers energy in a line shape for quick treatment over a wide area
-
Effective for areas where sagging is spread broadly, such as the cheeks, jawline, and neck
-
Allows overall skin tightening and lifting to be performed at once without dividing the treatment

How long does Liftera last?
This is always a question people make sure to ask.
If you look at advertisements or explanations of Liftera 2, you’ll probably see many lines saying, “Lasts for over a year.”
To be precise, because everyone has different lifestyle habits, eating habits, and patterns, it is difficult to say definitively, “Liftera lasts one year!”
From my clinical experience, the average Liftera duration and treatment interval are about 6 months to 1 year.
An immediate change in the skin right after the procedure is usually about 20–30%,
but noticeable results typically begin to appear only after about 4–6 weeks, when collagen regeneration starts in earnest.

Still, this period is only the average timeframe.
Depending on factors such as very low skin elasticity, previous procedures, age, smoking, or drinking habits,
there were cases where the effect lasted for 3 months and then faded. (A rare case, but still...)
Conversely, some people respond so well to Liftera that the lifting effect lasts more than a year.

Just like exercise, skin also needs consistent care, and when combined with treatments such as radiofrequency and skin boosters, the duration of the effect increases.
At Relieve, we want to help people regain confidence through a lifting treatment that does not significantly interfere with daily life while still allowing them to expect changes in skin elasticity.
