Hello.
I’m Dentist Baek, aspiring to be a master of implants and a gourmet.
We spent New Year’s Day 2024 at Conrad Osaka, and it was such an amazing experience that my wife and I promised each other we would spend the next year-end holiday season in Tokyo.
Conrad Osaka at year-end is an incredible place, with rates of 1 to 2 million won per night, but thanks to the combination of the Hilton Honors Gold tier we had received through the Hyundai Amex Platinum at the time and a points stay, we were able to go for less than half that budget.
A little while ago, I posted about the launch of the Lotte Card Hilton Honors Amex, right? By using this card, you can enjoy Diamond tier benefits, which are even better than the Hilton Honors Gold tier benefits I had enjoyed.
A 대표적인 example would be access to the Executive Lounge.
When I visited Conrad Bangkok in May 2024, it was known as a great-value hotel. This year, I ended up going to Conrad three times, which is quite something.. I thought 2025 would be extremely busy, so I seem to have gone around especially diligently because I didn’t know what would happen.
Conrad Tokyo
(CONRAD TOKYO)
When I visited Conrad Tokyo, I was a Hilton Honors Diamond member.
So I was also able to use the Executive Lounge. I’ll reflect that in this review.
Since the content is long, I’ll split this one into two parts again ^^
The location is really, really good. It is connected to Shiodome Station.
First of all, it was very convenient getting there from Haneda Airport, which we used, and since Shiodome is a transportation hub, you can easily get around to Tokyo Station and Asakusa to the north, Odaiba to the east, and Ginza and Roppongi to the west.

King Room City (1 night)
King Room Bay View (4 nights)
We actually booked a little early to see Christmas Tokyo. And we booked the most basic room, a King Room with a city view. Thanks to Hilton Honors Diamond status, we were able to get upgraded to a bay view for four nights after the first night.

Even the most basic room is a large room of about 15 pyeong. The price is a little high, around 600,000 to 700,000 won on weekday 기준 next month, but it’s a very comfortable space. It is a hotel that feels a little older.
Entrance

The building is so~ huge that it was impossible to photograph from below...

From the photos on the official website, it looks something like this! It is a building that has a very Japanese straight-line style.
There is a spacious park in front, and ocean views are possible. (The very place you always see when riding the Yurikamome!)

I wanted to take prettier photos, but something about them didn’t satisfy me.... I left them here because it felt like I was doing a Conrad stamp run.
(When you stay using Hilton points, Conrad is the most efficient option.)

The first floor was spacious, and I saw a corner explaining HGV. I heard that Koreans are starting to buy it too...
On the way to the elevator, the large Christmas tree made it feel real that I was in Tokyo for Christmas!!
The only disappointing thing was that it happened to be when I had a bad cold... I could have enjoyed it more, but I wasn’t feeling well, so my energy was low ㅠㅠ
Lobby

If you take the exclusive elevator from the first floor to the lobby, a spacious lobby with abundant natural light unfolds in front of you.
As expected, the interior design using stone materials makes everything look modern and sophisticated.
A staff member who spoke English very well told us that if we had Hilton Honors Diamond status, they would check us in at the Executive Lounge without waiting, so we moved there.
There is also a large tree at the end of the lobby, really driving home the feeling that I am in Christmas Tokyo.
Executive Lounge

And that’s how we entered the Executive Lounge!
So neat and clean~ As expected, Tokyo class..

The photo didn’t come out well because of the backlight, but we were told that if we sat at a window table, they would take care of the check-in there.

They also took our coffee order. The biggest advantage of being able to enter the Executive Lounge with Hilton Honors Diamond status is that you can enjoy coffee and light refreshments whenever you want!!
Still, since it’s a five-star hotel lounge, a cup would probably cost 20,000 won.. haha..

Conrad Tokyo’s Executive Lounge is divided into the two spaces I showed you at first and the space I’m showing now~

The neat space I just showed you is the bay view.
The Hamarikyu Gardens visible below can be walked through directly if you pay a small admission fee.
It’s really a view that shows the progress of civilization~ haha
King Room City (1 night)
King Room Bay View (4 nights)

Conrad generally has a similar dark, wood-toned feel wherever you go.
It seems to have a similar vibe to Park Hyatt Busan, which I showed in my previous post :)

As expected, a room of about 15 pyeong is quite large~!!
That said, it also seems a little smaller than Conrad Osaka. It’s about the same size as Conrad Tokyo!
It was divided into a roomy bathroom area and a room with a sofa and king-size bed.

The symbol of a luxurious bathroom is definitely two sinks~~
Just looking at it, there are plenty of towels.. Byredo amenities and a generously sized bathroom make you feel good.

Most things, including toothbrush and toothpaste, are provided as amenities, so you don’t seem to need to bring much else.
All Conrad hotels provide Byredo’s “MOJAVE GHOST.”

The toilet area and the shower room were separated by a glass door.
It looks a bit unclean in the photo, but that’s not the case in reality. It’s clean~

A bathtub that is well prepared for a half-body soak!
Conrad bathrooms seem to have a nearly identical layout.

The king-size bed was, well... very spacious and excellent.
Since there was also a sofa in the room, honestly, it was more than enough for two people.
Again, this is the most basic room, and with a size of about 15 pyeong, this is the standard room when staying at Conrad Tokyo!
I’m glad we came to see Christmas Tokyo :)

There’s plenty of capsule coffee provided, right?
And a feature of Japanese hotels is that water is served in glass bottles; it’s provided for free, and they refill four bottles every day.
The service is very good!

You can see that the minibar is well stocked.
Since prices in Japan are low these days... I thought that, but just a cola costs 7,000 to 8,000 won. It’s at a level that’s hard to touch...
And if you open it, the basic utensils are well stocked so it’s easy to have a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
Happy Hour

Happy hour was being held in the Executive Lounge I showed earlier in the evening.
It’s a service that hotels in Korea also provide, where they offer drinks and coffee with simple finger foods in the evening.
Since it takes place in the Executive Lounge, I think it’s probably only available if you have Hilton Honors Diamond status or if you booked a higher room category that can access the Executive Lounge (usually suite level or above).

There were some Japanese-style finger foods, starting with salads...
But for my short palate, they didn’t really appeal to me. ㅠㅠ

So I think I only ate the smoked salmon-topped item and some cheese. ^^

The thing on the left looked like rice cake skewers, but it wasn’t. It was soft and squishy... I’m not sure what it was called..
I enjoyed the lasagna on the right!

The key point is that you can taste various whiskeys in small amounts~!!
The Executive Lounge is definitely a very attractive place!!!
Still, the sad follow-up was that I couldn’t really enjoy it because I was coming down with a cold... Even one drink would probably have gotten me completely drunk..

Of course, Japanese beer is also provided without limit, and wine is also available in unlimited amounts according to your preference.
Looking at things like this, you can see that Hilton Honors Diamond status is quite good~ It really improves the quality of travel.
(It’s hard to earn through stays alone, so I think you’d need the Lotte Hilton Honors Amex Premium card.)

And that was the food we ate that day~!
The red wine was really delicious :0
Indoor Pool & Sauna

There were quite a few guests using the pool, so I couldn’t take many photos. haha
It wasn’t extremely deep, and the water temperature was very nice!! It wasn’t too cold.
There were two lanes (or should I say?), and it doesn’t seem like there were any particular restrictions on which one to use.
Swimsuits and swim caps are required, and if you don’t have a swim cap, they lend you one.

Are these called cabanas? Seating where you can unpack your belongings and sit down~
Everything is free. There’s no special charge, and simple drinks were being provided.

Hair ties or swim caps are provided, and you can swim while drinking as much water as you want.
No families with children came while we were there, but there’s no toddler pool, though I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to have fun together.

Luckily, there weren’t many users in the men’s sauna and shower area, so I only took a few photos.
What I want to say is that nothing is lacking!!
You wake up, wash up, go straight to the pool, get everything organized, and then head out for your trip!

When you enter the men’s shower room, there is a bathtub like this, so you can enjoy the warmth as much as you want...
It’s no secret that there were really few people, so even though it’s a huge Conrad, we used it almost like we had rented the place out.
Maybe because Japanese people are so used to swimming, it didn’t seem like everyone rushed to the pool just because they were at a hotel haha

The shower facilities and sauna were ordinary, but still a space with nothing missing.
Personally, I thought it was a hotel that felt very similar to Park Hyatt Busan!
After being so satisfied with Conrad Osaka, Conrad Tokyo was an easy pick without hesitation.
As my wife said, if you use the Yurikamome to go to Odaiba, the location makes you want to visit that hotel at least once.
As you’ll know if you’ve been to Conrad Osaka, I thought the overall interior atmosphere was quite similar.
That said, Conrad Tokyo seemed a little older than Conrad Osaka.
Still, the maintenance is so~ good that the fact it’s older is barely noticeable.
At year-end, it was a hotel where five nights would have cost 10 million won based on the visible numbers, but if you prepare in advance, you can go for a quarter of that price, which was probably the biggest appeal. And the fact that it didn’t require many transfers to get to major spots was also a surprisingly big advantage.
If you get the Lotte Hilton Honors Amex Premium card, it may not be very useful in Korea, where Hilton properties are relatively scarce, but I wanted to let you know that in Japan, it can give you a room view upgrade or Executive Lounge access.
Both benefits are hard to feel just from text, but when you actually travel, they have the charm of improving the quality of the trip.. I think “improving the quality” of travel is the right expression.
Since we didn’t enjoy the restaurant during this Conrad Tokyo staycation, I’ll focus on breakfast in the next post!!
That’s all from the daily life of Dentist Baek!!
