I visited the fantastic Bulgari Resort Bali in March 2025, the best resort of my life.

I went there after making a big decision and thinking, “This is the last one before opening the clinic!!”

I’m leaving this post to record that incredibly happy time, which felt like a second honeymoon!

Bulgari Resort Bali in Uluwatu, Bali... this is my first-ever travel review of a Bulgari hotel.

Currently, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts operates 9 properties worldwide: Milan, London, Dubai, Bali, Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Tokyo, and Rome.

It is Marriott’s ultra-luxury line, with 5 more locations planned to open.

Even if you have Marriott Bonvoy status, room upgrades, free breakfast, point earning, and event participation do not apply here. Ah! It doesn’t even count toward qualifying nights..

Still, a luxury pool villa overlooking the Indian Ocean in my lifetime... isn’t that exciting? I’ll cover it thoroughly over two parts!! I hope my post gives you a pleasant experience :)

Bulgari Bali.. it was truly a dreamlike place.

You can only enter after the armed security at the entrance checks your ID.

That Bulgari sign—seeing it again still makes me so happy~~ I want to visit each one, one by one, like collecting Dragon Balls ^^

Looking at the official website price, it’s 27,830,000 rupiah... about 2.4 million won per night.

Of course, this is the most basic room, a small pool villa recommended for two people!

Bulgari Resort Bali is quite large, so you always have to call a “butler” and ride around on that cart.

You can walk too, but... the sunlight by the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean is very strong~~

The start of our Bulgari Resort hotel trip is this welcome lounge.

It’s a beautiful building full of the wooden architecture characteristic of Bali, Indonesia.

With its wide eaves providing shade, if you slightly lower your head... the Indian Ocean opens right in front of you.

Even thinking about it again now makes me feel so excited~

We stayed for 2 nights, and in Part 1 I’ll focus on the room, while Part 2 will cover the breakfast, outdoor pool, kids’ club, and other facilities.

When you sit on the clean sofa provided, they bring you a welcome drink.

A cool tea that feels like it’s full of herbs. It makes you feel energized!

Let me say it again: Marriott Bonvoy status... doesn’t really mean anything here.

You can think of it as not giving you anything special at all..

However, if you use the Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy card, I think you can earn 5 points per 1,000 won!

Special Marriott hotel earnings are subtly at risk of being omitted by Shinhan Card. After your stay, be sure to call the customer center and check whether the points were credited properly!!

After finishing check-in at the welcome lounge, you can relax and wait in a place called Mansion until the room is ready.

Think of it as roughly a hotel executive lounge. You can come anytime you want.

It was just the two of us in this spacious area ^^ Bulgari ads were playing on the TV~ and Bulgari everywhere you look... just seeing it made us feel rich!!

The fact that these colorful pillows were placed just for the two of us... really makes me so happy!

If you sit and look around, you’ll see quite a lot of snacks. The ones in the distance are cookies~

But that’s not all!

There are lots of finger foods prepared, and you can also order drinks however you like.

All of this is included in the room rate, so it’s free. Then shall we take a look at what’s there?

These finger foods change a little each time you come.

Chocolate cream bread, pudding, mango tart... they all look so delicious again. Of course, I made up the names myself.

They were really delicious !!!! I ate, then ate again... anyway, if I don’t eat them, they’ll just be thrown away.

What should I call those... a small wood-fired pizza...?! There’s also a small hamburger.

While happily eating all of that piled up food... they come to let us know that check-in is complete.

Watermelon juice... you know, tamarillo? Haha. That one is also really delicious, and the important thing is that you can have as much as you want.

I think I drank 3–4 cafe lattes a day......

If needed, you can use the restroom in the Mansion, and it is an extremely clean space.

To be able to feel Bulgari’s luxury in Bali.... Bulgari Resort Bali seems able to stand shoulder to shoulder with any Bulgari property in any city in the world.

The room we stayed in was the most basic one.

Even the most basic room is an ultra-luxury hotel that costs 2.4 million won per night.........

Considering Bali’s price level, I guess you should think of it as feeling like staying in a suite at Josun Palace.

You can see that the lush green plants are beautifully maintained.

Our room was number 51!

What is life, really? The best thing is going out and having fun with the person you love for your whole life.

On the left is the view that opens up as soon as you enter after opening the door, and in the distance you can see the sky meeting the Indian Ocean.

On the right is the view when you turn back and look at the door I came in through.....

This pool villa is where we stayed for two nights.

It was a heaven-like place under the sky...

If you go a little farther forward, you’ll see a sofa facing the Indian Ocean.

And there’s a table in front of it... and on the right, there’s a refrigerator for us.

They also thoughtfully prepared two umbrellas!

This is roughly the view from the sofa.

It really is a Bali honeymoon pool villa where you can just stay peacefully without being disturbed by anyone.

It’s quiet, with only the sound of waves heard from far away.

The wooden villa is really stylish.

And you can see our private pool right in front of us, can’t you..?!

No matter how you look at it, it’s just a picture-perfect scene.

This little pool is for this villa.

Actually, because it’s the basic room, the pool isn’t very big, and for a better pool you have to move and use the other one outside!! I’ll introduce that in Part 2 :)

One feature is that everything here is free.

You can drink as much coffee as you want... and if you ask for ice, they’ll bring unlimited ice.

Ah... you thought that was obvious?

Everything in this refrigerator is free.

Ah! I don’t think the drinks contained alcohol. You can have as much cola or juice as you want!!

But since they keep bringing drinks outside too... it’s actually hard to finish all of this ^^;;;;;

Anyway, it’s worth the 2.4 million won room rate!!

Shall we look inside where we stayed?

As soon as you enter, you see this beautifully arranged king-size bed.

The room had already been air-conditioned in advance, so it was cool as can be.

It’s just... luxurious beyond what photos can express.

There was food waiting to welcome us like this!

A chocolate cake covered in Bulgari lettering... and next to it were coconut-flavored desserts.

Personally, I love sweet desserts like cake, and this place is really a true gem!

Bulgari Resort Bali has many brochures and videos introducing Bulgari.

It’s luxury at its absolute peak. Extremely extravagant jewelry pieces...

Oh, right! There is a Bulgari boutique inside Bulgari Resort Bali, and guests get a 10% discount there.

But the price is about the same as buying it in Japan~

If you watch this video first, it will make more sense!!

This is now the way to the bathroom.

The bathroom is really as big as the bedroom.??

First of all, there is a separate room with the toilet. The toilet lid opens automatically, which reminds me of a hotel in Kyoto... haha.

This was really great too.... it’s already been almost two years... life is fleeting....

Ta-da... this is the bathroom of the basic room at Bulgari Resort Bali.

In the center is a bathtub, and on the left there are two sinks.

And if you open the door you can see in the distance, there is an outdoor shower. It’s surprisingly very convenient!!

The sink is really stylish, and there’s even a dressing table with thoughtful touches.

All amenities are, of course, Bulgari.

The scent is really, really nice. And they don’t mind if you take them home as souvenirs. ㅎㅎㅎ

They’ll probably discard everything after one use (!?).

This is the outdoor shower I mentioned earlier, and it’s surprisingly very convenient. Be sure to use it !!!!!!!

You can use the indoor shower and the outdoor shower at the same time !!

Seeing that there’s a chair too, it feels like it shouldn’t be called a bathroom... it really should be called a makeup room.

If even the basic room is this grand, what would the better rooms be like....

All amenities are Bulgari. The scent was really quite nice!!!

I really like the luxurious tile finish :)

It would have been nice if the drainage had been a bit better.... and as expected, stone materials make the interior look elegant.

Oh right! One feature is that they wash your clothes. They wash them at an amazingly high quality, and it’s free.

I guess this is possible because labor costs in Indonesia are particularly low.

Even T-shirts are washed clean and returned ironed!! It’s a very popular service :) ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

There’s nothing missing among the amenities. If you spend 2.4 million won, you can enjoy this kind of luxury....!

It was a place that made me feel happy no matter how I looked at it.

The Indian Ocean view from the bedroom... just thinking about it makes your heart flutter, doesn’t it?ㅎㅎㅎ

It’s absolutely perfect for a honeymoon !!!

I went on my honeymoon to Hawaii... and now I’ve been to Bali pool villas + Singapore, so~~~ all that’s left is Maldives.

Ah, it’s really picture-perfect. Who took this photo!!

And after such a happy time passes, night falls over the Indian Ocean in Bali.

At night, room service is the best way to enjoy it!!

There were too many menu items to photograph, but you can easily order for 40,000–50,000 won, so be sure to enjoy it.

When night falls, the lights come on and the view changes to something even more beautiful like this :)

This is a more impressive pool villa than the St. Regis Bali I’ll introduce next.

Ah~~~ seeing it again makes me want to go back....

There weren’t as many bug bites as I expected, so it’s fine to just lie down and relax!

Even at night, the sofa looks this atmospheric ~ㅎㅎㅎ

If you wait, the butlers set up a full spread like this for you!

We ordered pasta and (kids’) nasi goreng.

It was much tastier than expected—secretly, we ate it twice.

As you’d expect from someone who runs a food blog, I took the photos aligned neatly from every angle.ㅋㅋ

It was so delicious~....

That was the first day at the very happy Bulgari Resort Bali!

This Bali trip was something we made time for, squeezing it in before opening the clinic, and our first stop was Bulgari Resort Bali. It was so perfect that I was almost worried the places we visit next might disappoint us (!?) It was the best place I’ve ever been! I was curious what a pool villa trip with my partner would be like, and now I’ve become someone who only wants to travel to pool villas.

It wasn’t for nothing that it was chosen by Jang Dong-gun and his wife~... The privacy and the way the butlers cared for us so that nothing felt inconvenient was truly exceptional.

However, not being able to benefit from any Marriott Bonvoy status perks is a bit disappointing. I mean, I can understand no room upgrade or free breakfast since it’s such an expensive resort, but not giving qualifying nights or points feels a little stingy!!!!! Still, I’m glad I brought the Marriott Bonvoy Shinhan card and was able to at least get the special earning...

Oh, and Samsung Pay worked well. I came away thinking, does Samsung Pay usually work well in Indonesia?

Personally, The St. Regis Bali is also a hotel with tremendous charm, but Bulgari Resort Bali, which is definitely more than twice as expensive, was truly one of the most unforgettable resorts of my life.
