[Andaz Seoul Restaurant] Jojakbo - A Self-Paid Review of Spaghetti, Braised Short Ribs, and Mango Bingsu. Half Price with Hyundai Amex Platinum Be My Guest, Shinhan Card The Best+, Baby Chair, and Hotel Valet Outing!

This is Baek Won-jang’s Gourmet Guide.

It had been a while since I took my child out for a hotel outing. I’d been busy since opening my clinic, and there aren’t many restaurants I can go to with a baby, so I had barely been out at all!

Friday is my day off, and this time I visited Andaz Seoul Jojakbo to use Hyundai Amex Platinum’s Be My Guest and Shinhan Card The Best+ free drink voucher. Here’s my review.

Andaz Seoul Jojakbo

The entire second floor of Andaz Seoul is Jojakbo, but one corner is Andaz Jojakbo Kitchen, which serves Korean food, and the other side is Andaz Jojakbo Lounge, which also serves as a steak restaurant and café. You’ll see when you visit!!

And thanks to a collaboration between Hyundai Amex Platinum and Shinhan The Best+ card, I was able to cover valet parking, a meal for our family of three, and even mango bingsu for about half of the total cost. A fresh review!!

Andaz Seoul Gangnam, which I’ve already visited 2–3 times to use Hyundai Amex Platinum (hereafter HyunApl) Be My Guest (hereafter Be My Guest), is kind of like a favorite hideout that my wife and I enjoy going to.

I’m sure many of you are familiar with Be My Guest. In particular, it offers a service where you get a 30,000 won discount when you spend at least 60,000 won at designated restaurants (or a 20,000 won discount when you spend at least 40,000 won at hotel bakeries), as well as free coffee at Baekmidang and Artisee.

In an old post, I wrote about using HyunApl Be My Guest at Baekmidang. In 2025, it was revised so that you can get an Americano or latte with any drink order. (Was it ice cream too...? I can’t really remember ㅠㅠ)

It’s a benefit you can use at quite a few hotel restaurants, so be sure to check it out!

It can be used up to 3 times a year. (Only once per month)

I don’t think it’s a particularly great card... but anyway, if you get this card,

there is a free hotel lounge drink service.

There are really quite a lot of hotels... you can see a long list of hotels that even surpasses the venues for the Lotte Diamond Card.

Among them, Andaz Seoul Gangnam Jojakbo Bites & Wine is one of them!!

Here’s my review of enjoying discounted mango bingsu instead of two free drinks. (I was disappointed because I heard the bingsu price went up this month... but apparently the benefit allowing discounts with service drinks started this month.)

Outside

When you arrive at the entrance, you’ll see these huge stairs.

You can’t take a newborn baby in a stroller up those stairs... so we used the elevator.

Once you go up, you’ll see this neat lounge view.

If you go to the left, you’ll find Jojakbo, Andaz Seoul Gangnam’s Korean restaurant, and if you go straight ahead or to the right, you’ll find Jojakbo Kitchen or Bites & Wine.

There’s such a pretty menu board at the entrance, so it’s nice to take a quick look.

Since Jojakbo Kitchen was on break, we decided to use Bites & Wine.

There are seats by the window, but I couldn’t take the baby there... because there wasn’t a place to park the stroller ㅠㅠ

If you go a bit to the right...

Inside

You’ll get a neat seat like this!! You can enjoy any meal here as well.

To be honest, it’s a seat for quietly chatting over a drink...

Oh, and if you ask, Andaz Seoul Jojakbo will bring a baby chair.

They even give you a Tripp Trapp. Haha, so our child adjusted well to the same chair as the one at home.

And since the view outside is of valet parking, my child seemed very happy watching the cars coming and going.ㅎㅎ ㅎㅎ

We ordered the seafood Alfredo spaghetti and braised short ribs.

They don’t really go together, do they? Haha

As I explained earlier, the Shinhan Card The Best Plus card gives you two free drinks from this menu.

Start of the meal!!!

When we ordered our meal, even though the table was a little small, they kindly set it up like this.

Since we ordered pasta and braised short ribs, they brought out double the utensils.

My daughter with pigtails is being mosaicked to protect her portrait rights. Haha

This is the seafood Alfredo spaghetti and braised short ribs I mentioned earlier.

They look quite hearty and delicious, don’t they? Haha

Seafood Alfredo Spaghetti (36,000 won -> 21,000 won with Be My Guest)

HyunApl’s Be My Guest gives you a 30,000 won discount when you dine for 60,000 won or more at Andaz Seoul Jojakbo.

We ordered two dishes, so we met the 60,000 won minimum, and I’ll count it as a 15,000 won discount on each dish. Haha

It came with three very hearty shrimp. The clams were also very fresh and tasty.

Oh, and they also gave us bread before the meal. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a taste like eating a baguette...

You can spread Isigny butter on it, so of course it tastes heavenly....? We tried it, and if you ask nicely, they’ll even bring more bread ~~ I was glad the baby ate well.

The spaghetti sauce wasn’t super thick, but it was still rich enough and tasty.

Maybe because it had been so long since we went out to a hotel, both my spouse and I were really excited... lol

As I mentioned, the clams were really tasty, and the shrimp were even better.

And there was even one piece of abalone sliced into the dish! Isn’t this exactly why you come to a hotel to eat?

With the Be My Guest discount, 21,000 won is really a great price.

Braised Short Ribs (42,000 won -> 27,000 won)

Again, counted as discounted with Be My Guest, the braised short ribs come to 27,000 won.

The pot was deeper than expected, so it had quite a lot of rib meat.

All three side dishes were delicious. They also give you a full bowl of rice.

As I ate, I kept thinking of the Park Hyatt Seoul lounge, which was so delicious...

That was really great too back then...ㅎ

As soon as you taste it, you can tell it’s braised short ribs from the U.S.... but there is really a lot of rib meat.

It’s truly a delicious braised short rib dish that doesn’t feel wasted at all at 42,000 won.

And the three side dishes are tasty too!

After the two of us finished eating like that, we were really, really full...

If you go to the restroom and come back, you can see these impressive whiskeys along the way.

Oh, how tempting...

Oh, and I paid first here.

I ate 78,000 won worth of food, applied a 30,000 won Be My Guest discount with HyunApl, paid 48,000 won, and earned Hyatt points.

Why? Because I still had to eat the mango bingsu, and for that one, I had to pay with a Shinhan card??!

If you ask for the shaved ice menu, you’ll get this menu.

I had the mango bingsu two months ago, and it feels like the price went up by 10,000 won since then.

Anyway, if you use two free drink coupons from Shinhan Card The Best+, you can enjoy the 82,000 won mango bingsu for 46,000 won. They say this system started in July 2025.

Pretty great, right? lol It’s like they’re valuing one coffee at 18,000 won. Huge win!

So I enjoyed this enormous bingsu tower for 46,000 won.

I ate it with three men before, and we couldn’t finish it because we were full, and we couldn’t finish it this time either...

Although it isn’t apple mango, I still think it’s a sufficiently delicious mango. At this price, even Sulbing would cry.

The Andaz Seoul Gangnam mango bingsu looks even more grand from the front...

There is dry ice underneath, so white smoke keeps rising for a while.

I feel bad for scooping up the thinly sliced mango with a spoon...

There is milk bingsu inside!

This one has mango-flavored chocolate on the outside and cake sponge on the inside.

It’s delicious!

If you want to enjoy the mango bingsu with more sweetness, eat it with these mango pieces.

If you want it to be nuttier and sweeter, have it with condensed milk.

I really thought I was going to burst from eating everything from start to finish......

We ate so well again today.!!!

Conclusion

A super ultra-great-value outing to Andaz Seoul Gangnam Jojakbo.

It’s a place that always feels good to visit :)

Andaz Seoul Gangnam is located in Apgujeong, so it’s very easy to access!

And with the HyunApl I have, valet parking is also available.

It’s a place where valet parking is easy to use with most credit cards.

Valet parking alone is 40,000 won... !!!

The reason our family visited Andaz Seoul Gangnam, which we like so much, was actually because we wanted to use Be My Guest at Jojakbo, and it was a great success! Everything we ordered was delicious... so touching.

Honestly, I haven’t really seen many hotel lounge meals that weren’t tasty. Anyway, we ordered 78,000 won worth of food and paid 48,000 won.

And then we got a mango bingsu discount benefit when we tried to use the free drink coupon on the Shinhan Card The Best+!

We enjoyed the 82,000 won mango bingsu for 46,000 won... but this had to be paid with Shinhan Card The Best+.

It was an unexpectedly very rewarding day.

So of course Baek Won-jang, who loves calculating this kind of thing, couldn’t leave this out...

Valet parking + meal + mango bingsu = we enjoyed about 200,000 won worth of goods and services for 94,000 won!!??! Such a bargain....

And 48,000 won earned special MR points with HyunApl, 46,000 won earned Korean Air mileage, and......

We even got more than 300 Hyatt points, so when I calculated it, it came to about 10,000 won~~

What matters most? Andaz Seoul Gangnam is totally likable~~~
