This is Baek Wonjang’s Mukshullang.

I recently posted a review of mango bingsu at Jojokbo in Andaz Seoul,

and it turned out that Shinhan Card was running an event where, if you deduct the complimentary drink service at a luxury hotel lounge, you can eat bingsu at a relatively low price!

This event applies only to three cards — The Premier, The Lady Best, and The BEST+ — from June 2, 2025, to August 31, 2025, so if you happen to have one, read this post and enjoy 5-star hotel bingsu before August ends!

Grand Hyatt Seoul Gallery

The lounge you see as soon as you enter Grand Hyatt Seoul is “Gallery.”

The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and it’s a place loved by many!

What’s more, if you park with hotel valet service, they don’t separately check whether you used the store, so it’s also a great spot for valet parking.

(Actually, there aren’t many places to go if you leave your car parked here anyway..)

Grand Hyatt Seoul used to be on my commute route...

Anyway, it’s one of the few hotels where valet parking can be made free with most credit cards. Haha.

There are lots of foreigners, and you can also often spot supercars there!

My wife and I visited before noon on Saturday, and luckily there was no wait.

We left around 3 p.m., and when we did, the line was quite long.. I recommend going a bit early when you visit.!

The Shinhan Card The Best+ briefly mentioned in a previous post

If you achieve 2 million won in monthly spending, you get unlimited double Korean Air mileage accrual at 1,000 won per 1 mile on overseas purchases.

I always describe it as a bizarre card.. but anyway, it’s a pretty good card for me.

Including this card..

Shinhan Card’s top-tier The Premier card

and the now-discontinued Shinhan Card The Lady Best (hereafter, the “LaBe card”) both offer free drinks at luxury hotel lounges.

Of course, with these Shinhan cards, Grand Hyatt Seoul valet parking is also free!

The high-ceiling lobby that unfolds as soon as you enter Grand Hyatt Seoul is always a pleasant sight, isn’t it?

Through the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, you can look out over the Seoul area.

It’s a classic luxury hotel that was built a long time ago in a great location with excellent materials.

Old, but never boring interior~^^

Interior

This is part of the menu at Grand Hyatt Seoul Gallery.

We were shown a sofa seat with a backrest, so the two of us sat side by side.

Today’s goal is the “Kaimak Apple Mango Bingsu.” The price is 110,000 won.

And since I was hungry, I additionally ordered “French Toast, Bacon, Burrata.” The price is 36,000 won.

As expected of a luxury hotel, the prices are quite high...

Dentist Baek Wonjang doesn’t spend money carelessly.... haha

As mentioned earlier, if you have one of three Shinhan cards (Shinhan Premier, Shinhan LaBe, Shinhan The Best+), you can receive bingsu at the set price after deducting two uses of the luxury hotel lounge complimentary drink service.

However, according to the rule that you can receive drinks up to twice a month, bingsu is limited to once per month.

I used two drinks in July at Andaz Seoul and enjoyed mango bingsu once,

and this August I used two drinks and enjoyed it at Grand Hyatt. Haha

Personally, I hope they hold this event every year~~

There were quite a lot of hotels on the list. If you look on the left, Grand Hyatt Seoul is at the very top, and you can enjoy the “Kaimak Apple Mango Bingsu” for 72,000 won. If you look on the right, you can once again confirm that at Andaz Seoul Gangnam I enjoyed “Mango Bingsu” for 46,000 won.. haha

Looking at café communities like Newsasa, Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is also famous as a bingsu hotspot~ For reference!

Oh, right! I heard that starting this year, the 10% premium credit card discount promotion at Grand Hyatt Seoul’s Gallery and bakery has been discontinued. Shinhan Card, Hyundai Card, and others.. that 10% discount was such a nice perk.. unfortunate news ㅠㅠ

Still, other restaurants still offer premium credit card discounts, and World of Hyatt points are also earned, so let’s keep that in mind!

Meal begins!!!

Kaimak Apple Mango Bingsu (110,000 won -> 72,000 won. Promotional price)

The star of the show, the Kaimak Apple Mango Bingsu, came out quite quickly. It felt like it took less than 5 minutes...

As you can see, passion fruit, cheese, and condensed milk are also included.

It just looks delicious.

They even give you photo time so you can take pictures. Because..

This is because the staff pours water like this, and the dry ice at the bottom vaporizes to create this mist.

If you photograph it, it looks roughly like this.

It kind of looks like an older guy is smoking next to it.....

Anyway, the apple mango looks quite rich, right?

Finally, I take one more calm proof shot and now I’ll eat.

How should I put this.. the apple mango is really piled high in a generous amount,

and it’s kind of hard to compare it to anything..

If you eat one spoonful with half ice and one slice of apple mango,

there’s still apple mango left over.

Hard to believe, right.....?

It’s a truly delicious apple mango served in a really generous amount.

110,000 won does seem a bit expensive.. but at 72,000 won, it’s definitely something you should eat.

What’s on top is kaimak and pistachio.

Three supporting players.

The first is cheese, which you can add like a little accent to the apple mango, which could otherwise be too sweet.

The passion fruit syrup was just so-so for me.

The condensed milk, well. It’s always delicious whenever you eat it.

The mango is so substantial,

that I ended up saying “this is delicious” over and over while eating it.

The sweetness was also excellent.. By around this time next year, I might wonder why I’m eating such expensive apple mango bingsu.... but it’s still the kind of thing I’d end up eating again.

Really, there isn’t much left in August, so everyone should enjoy it!

French Toast (36,000 won)

I actually ordered the French toast thinking I’d get a 10% discount..

If I had known the premium credit card 10% discount benefit was gone... hmm..

Personally, I have a small appetite and can’t eat much.

The portion is small. Though it’s called French toast, it’s basically one slice of bread (!?)

And bacon and burrata cheese are placed on top.

There are also strawberries and blueberries..

It would be delicious with whipped cream and maple syrup, right?

Looking at it now, the portion is quite small!?!?!?!?

If I had only eaten the French toast, I would have been extremely hungry, but since the apple mango bingsu had a fairly large portion, maybe that’s why I didn’t notice.

It’s simply delicious, no further explanation needed.

It costs 36,000 won, so of course it should be delicious....

Personally, the French toast with grilled banana at my favorite place, “Oasis Cheongdam,” costs 23,000 won, and valet parking is 5,000 won, so if you count that as 28,000 won.... even with just a 10% discount, it would have been a reasonable price...

Anyway, it was delicious. (Of course it should be ^^)

I enjoyed the apple mango bingsu very much at Grand Hyatt, which boasts a beautiful view!!

It feels like it will be my last hotel bingsu of the year...

Or maybe I’ll eat it again in Jeju at the end of August...

Anyway

I really, really enjoyed the meal today.!!!

Conclusion

Thanks to Shinhan Card, I had a great apple mango bingsu and felt very happy!!

If you have the Shinhan Premier, Shinhan Lady Best, or Shinhan The Best+ cards I mentioned...

I strongly recommend that you have apple mango bingsu somewhere before August ends.

I really came across some amazingly delicious apple mango this year (?)...

It will really stay in your memory.

I also once had a hamburger at Grand Hyatt Seoul Gallery for a meal before,

and while it’s a bit odd to compare them directly, I think the apple mango bingsu was more impressive than the hamburger. haha

I think I finally understand why women go to hotels every summer just to have bingsu once...

When I used Shinhan Card’s luxury hotel complimentary drink benefit, the value for money gets 5 stars. haha

Whether I’d pay 110,000 won for it.. I’d need to think about that a bit. I probably wouldn’t...

Meanwhile, I heard the Shinhan Premier Card offers bingsu discounts three times a month.. which is like having six complimentary drink uses... and just that alone made me think it’s worth the 2 million won annual fee.

Wasn’t the average balance 1.5 billion won.. People who have that card make me even more jealous for no reason. haha
