Hello.
I’m Dr. Baek, director of Leve Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station, Dream Dental.
At the end of August, I went on a Jeju island hotel staycation with my child to use the room vouchers from the Club Josun ‘Gold’ membership and the The Parnas ‘Smart’ membership that I had.
Before using the vouchers, I had no real sense of what kind of condition the ‘deluxe free stay voucher’ included with the 750,000 KRW Club Josun ‘Gold’ membership would be in, so I want to leave my experience here.
I’ll also compare it with the ‘Smart free stay voucher’ from the 550,000 KRW The Parnas ‘Smart’ membership, which we used together, and write about it that way.
As a separate note, I’ll cover the review of the Aria buffet Chinese lunch, which was quite good, in another post. ^^
Grand Josun Jeju
About two years ago, when I came to Jeju, I used to wonder who on earth stayed at such a wonderful hotel. Now I’ve finally been able to visit it myself.
I had visited Parnas Jeju in November 2023 and JW Marriott Jeju in November 2024~
Since I visited Grand Josun in 2025, it seems like Lotte and Shilla are the ones left in the Jungmun Tourist Complex.
Club Josun Gold
(And The Parnas Smart)
First, I should briefly explain the Club Josun membership, right?
Club Josun, the paid membership for Josun Hotels, has a total of four tiers.
So,

There are memberships in the order of Premier - Gold - Platinum - Black.
I’ll leave out corporate memberships.
I had received Club Josun Gold through the benefits of one Club One card,
and earlier, I had already used up the dining vouchers with my wife at Eatanic Garden, the Michelin restaurant by Chef Sohn Jong-won at Josun Palace!
Honestly, just that visit alone already made the membership worth it..
Anyway, when you join Club Josun, you get room vouchers...
Using these vouchers has been such a hassle.
So after thinking it over, I made a plan to use all the room vouchers from another membership, ‘The Parnas Smart,’ right before the memberships expired, and turn it into a Jeju hotel staycation all at once. Haha.
That was when I got the Parnas membership!! I’ll organize and upload a review of the The Parnas membership Smart room voucher in another post~~~

Anyway, to use this Club Josun Gold ‘deluxe room voucher,’ there are quite a few rules.
Only the highest Club Josun tier, ‘Black,’ can use it freely on any day without special restrictions. (There is an internal rule that it can only be issued after spending more than 5 million KRW at food and beverage outlets.)
Jeju Island, where Josun Hotel and Parnas Hotel are both located. Decided to use everything there!!
I booked a Grand Josun Jeju Deluxe (Garden View).

This room voucher does not include breakfast.
It is a room-only voucher, with free access to the swimming pools.
For a Friday stay a month later, it came to 418,000 KRW. Well... since I had a good trip, I got my money’s worth from the Club Josun membership.
Arriving at Grand Josun Jeju!
And valet parking

On a very bright late-August day, we arrived at the entrance of Grand Josun Jeju.
The weather was so clear and nice that the photos came out really well!
Grand Josun Jeju consists of two main buildings, and the place you’re looking at is the main building.
Many rooms are located here, including the relatively more affordable ones.
If you go to the other building,

there are clusters of Hill Suite rooms where you can enjoy a very private atmosphere.
To stay in a Hill Suite at Grand Josun Jeju, you need a Club Josun Black-tier voucher. Haha.

When I arrived and saw the lobby, I was surprised at how clean and grand it felt.
Wow... hotels really do seem to spend money in Jeju, huh.
Oh, by the way! Grand Josun Jeju has partner credit cards that offer valet parking. A representative example is the Hyundai the Platinium Card!!!!
It provides five free valet parking uses per month, so please 참고하세요.

Looking around the Newsasa cafe, a member kindly explained that valet parking is available like this.
The easiest option seems to be Hyundai the Platinium... and it looks like Gold/Green as well. Haha.

The lobby is on the 5th floor.
And the guest rooms are arranged in a ring around it!
If you look down from the center, you can see the botanical garden below.
There are so many plants that it really gives you the feeling of being in Jeju.
There should be palm trees, right? Haha.
The lounge is down below. There were also some foreign guests, including Chinese and Japanese visitors.

When I went, they were selling apple mango bingsu. It was 89,000 KRW.
At Parnas Jeju, it was 83,000 KRW, and I was really disappointed. I should have eaten this one.

There is also a relaxation area in the 5th-floor lobby.
If you look down, you can see the outdoor pool!!!
If you go down to the 1st floor, you’ll see a green lounge. Aria is also on the 1st floor!

The bakery also looks pretty tasty.
If you have a Club Josun membership, you can receive a 10% discount!

And there is a kids’ club.
Of course, it doesn’t provide actual childcare like Shilla Hotel... but kids really, really love it haha.
It’s not large, but having a space where children can run around freely like this was really nice!!!

Now that I’m a dad, taking photos of my child is definitely... haha.
He was scared of the pool haha.
There was one staff member there, so I felt somewhat reassured letting my child run around and play.
Moments like this make me realize again, I’m really a father..
Deluxe Garden View King

We were assigned to the 6th floor. Room 6081, maybe...
Club Josun Gold gives you a garden view.
And it is the smallest room, after all...
Still, it’s a 420,000 KRW room... so please keep that in mind when looking at it.

When you open the door and enter, you see a room that is not small at all.
It was bigger than I expected. It was far larger than the room at Parnas Jeju, which I’ll write about later.
As you can see, there’s a baby bed on the right, right? Haha. Of course, our child didn’t adapt to it very well haha.

The bathroom quality was also decent.
It was a little disappointing that the toilet wasn’t separated, but it was clean.
And there was a bathtub! I liked that.
Of course, Parnas Jeju also has a bathtub.

The amenities are... the usual Josun Hotel ones.
Personally, I think they’re not bad. They lather well, clean well, and smell good.
Still, when you come to a 5-star hotel, you naturally expect the amenities~~~
As far as I know, the amenities are different in the Hill Suite building! I think it was Diptyque..

If you ask, they provide more things, and they gave us a baby bed and a bottle sterilizer (dryer?) by default.
If you look below, there are also children’s slippers. Haha.

There is a coffee machine, and the minibar has nothing in it. Just two bottles of water...
I heard the minibar... can’t be operated at all in Korea. There’s a convenience store on the 1st floor.

The view outside the Deluxe Garden View room looks roughly like this.
It’s really full of mountains and trees. Hahaha.
It’s basically just for staying overnight.
Still, the snacks were tasty.
Outdoor pool

I didn’t take many photos, but the outdoor pool has a very American(?) feel.
Isn’t this exactly part of the charm of Jeju hotels~~~
Of course, compared with Parnas Jeju’s outdoor pool, which is entirely outdoor from A to Z, the scale isn’t even comparable...
But for playing with a child, this place seems better.
But it was also so hot... and I was busy caring for my one-year-old baby, so I never actually got to swim ^^;;

There is an indoor pool, so you can play with young children.
The water is shallow, so it’s mostly parents playing and taking pictures with their kids. Hahaha.
Basic life jackets are available, but there are no tubes, so you’ll need to bring your own.
Oh, and we forgot to bring waterproof diapers, so we bought them on the 1st floor, and they were 9,000 KRW for three. That was 2–3 times more expensive than Coupang... make sure to bring them in advance!
We also bought goggles, and a good pair cost a little over 50,000 KRW. That was about the same as regular market prices.
And the rooftop pool

If you go to the top floor, there’s also a cafe and a rooftop pool.
It’s an adults-only pool. For us, it was just out of reachㅠㅠ
We only took a stroller up at night to look around..

When you get off the elevator, this rooftop opens up before you,
and if you go closer, you can see young men and women enjoying the rooftop pool while looking out over the distant sea. Haha.
It was out of reach for us, so I’m leaving only photos.

Jeju Island... is still such a nice place whenever you come.
At night, Grand Josun Jeju looks even cleaner and prettier.

Feeling a little regretful, I thought I’d have a cocktail at the lounge...
But the story goes that while we were sitting there, the staff never came over, so we couldn’t place an order.
Anyway... it was a charming and impressive hotel!
Grand Josun Jeju, which I ended up visiting almost by force(?) because I had a Club Josun membership ‘deluxe room voucher.’
It was in much better condition than I expected.
Unlike Parnas Jeju, where I didn’t have any partner credit card for valet parking, there were valet attendants available for convenient use, and the botanical-garden-like feel inside the hotel made me very happy.
It was great for bringing a child because there was a kids’ club. It doesn’t watch the child for you, though..^^;;
As I’ll post next time, the Aria buffet is quite tasty. If you have Club Josun, you also get a 20% discount.
The outdoor pool condition is not bad. But I can’t say it was fully satisfying ^^;;
The Parnas Jeju pool is much more grand. The JW Marriott Jeju pool is more private and also better because they provide food and drinks.
The room was bigger than I expected. I think that made it feel even better. Haha.
Although I used the ‘deluxe room voucher,’ it is possible to upgrade the view by paying an additional amount.
I didn’t check whether a Hill Suite stay was possible.
The disappointing part is that Grand Josun’s location itself is far from the sea. That’s the fundamental issue.... ㅠㅠㅋ
That’s it for this dentist Dr. Baek’s daily life!!
