Hello.
This is Dr. Baek, from the popular Lev Dental Clinic near Sinsa Station.
This is the final post from my September Osaka trip.
I’ve already uploaded my reviews of the Ritz-Carlton Osaka and the Osaka Station Hotel...
And for the grand finale, I’ll introduce the Airside Lounge at Kansai International Airport.
On the way there, I had gone through the Sky Hub Lounge at Gimpo International Airport,
and at that time, I used my KB Kookmin Card Heritage Reserve card to get companion entry with my wife (!?)

Airside Lounge
If you open the Lounge app and search, you’ll see that there are four lounges in Terminal 1 of Kansai International Airport.

And all four are in locations that are easier to get to than you might expect.
After looking up a few reviews, I decided on the Airside Lounge, which is located near Gate 22.

As you walk over, you’ll see a black Airside Lounge sign on the ceiling.
It’s on the third floor, and rather than taking the stairs, it’s better to use the elevator on the left.

You’ll find a pretty nice-looking entrance with a black-and-gold design.
I was surprised by how modern it looked.
On the Lounge app, it had seemed really old and not very good...

It was cleaner and nicer than I expected. This is Japan, I guess? haha
There was plenty of seating, and it was pleasantly quiet.
So I picked a window seat(?) and sat down.

It’s not a lounge you go to for a full meal, but food is still important, so I’ll show you a quick look.
There were items that looked like perfect beer snacks.
Peanuts, crackers, and biscuits~

I especially liked the baumkuchen in the photo on the left.
I had this one twice. haha
The other breads weren’t especially fancy, but they were enough to fill you up.

The tomato-based stew on the left was surprisingly good.
And the kimbap on the right looked a bit mediocre, but when I tried it, it tasted pretty good.
It’s about as good as kimbap you’d buy at a convenience store.

Anyone like this ramen with the chick illustration? haha
The broth is thick and savory, and it tastes good.

The star of the Osaka Kansai International Airport Airside Lounge is definitely this curry and rice.
These things are really... addictive?
I had heard about them from other people’s posts, and they really are the kind of thing you keep eating. Definitely try them!!!

I didn’t try everything, but the dumplings(?) and nuggets(?) on the left
and the pumpkin salad on the right were good, and the peas were great as a snack.

For cold food, there was ham and dessert.
I can also see yogurt and cream cheese~

One notable thing is that the drinks selection is pretty good.
On the left is a vending machine that serves premium malt beer, and on the right is whiskey highball, so... even one glass of this would probably cost around 10,000 won per glass, right?

There was a WMF coffee machine like the one at the Westin Parnas Executive Lounge I visited today.
I love iced lattes. haha
The one on the right looks like capsule coffee.

But my favorite is definitely soda... haha
I remember it supported Korean~ I really want to take this machine home and use it.

There was a surprisingly wide selection of wine, vodka, Japanese liquor, and more.
Even the wine selection is serious enough to include both white wine and red wine.
A drink here and there with some snacks... then if you get on the plane and sleep, you’ll wake up in Korea, haha.

And so our meal was completed like this...
It was so tasty that I kept going back for more and eating again.
It was a quiet lounge with fewer people than I expected. (Maybe because it was a bit late.)
On the Lounge app, it looked like a very old... somewhat run-down lounge, so I had been hesitant, but in reality, I was quite satisfied when I visited!
Of course, if you’ve had lots of delicious food outside already, the offerings here may not seem all that impressive, but they were better than expected. In particular, the curry rice mixed with curry was so good that it really left an impression. haha
Personally, I also liked the baumkuchen, and since the alcohol selection was generous, I think... I’ll probably visit again...!....
Thank you for reading such a long post today.
That’s all for the daily life of Dr. Baek, the dentist!!
