[Haeundae Marine City Restaurant] Pungwonjang Kkomak Jeongchan - Recommended Local Gem Near Park Hyatt Busan. Delicious side dishes and delicious marinated sea snails bibimbap~

In my previous post, I introduced Park Hyatt Busan, where we stayed during this year’s Chuseok holiday!

With a thoughtful concept, they even got us to enjoy delicious makgeolli, jeon, and sashimi at the Park Hyatt Busan lounge :)

Today, I’d like to introduce a restaurant we visited right before heading back from Busan.

At Park Hyatt, they give you so much good food that it’s usually not easy to go out. Haha..

Since this is a restaurant within walking distance nearby, please keep it in mind if you’re planning to visit!

Pungwonjang Kkomak Jeongchan

It’s about a 5-minute walk from Park Hyatt Busan, even if you’re pushing a stroller.

Once you leave Gwangan Bridge behind and turn the corner on foot, you’ll find it right away!

Exterior

Pungwonjang Kkomak has so many signs that you can’t possibly miss it. Haha

It looks like the right side is an annex.. but when I visited in October, it wasn’t open.

Interior

It does feel a bit old, but I liked the clean, well-maintained interior.

You can definitely hear a lot of Busan dialect, which gives it a true local restaurant vibe!!

This is the menu at Pungwonjang Kkomak Jeongchan.

You can order one serving each of the marinated sea snail set and the sea snail bibimbap set!

So my husband and I ordered one each... We debated whether to get side dishes, but didn’t, and that was a relief.

There was quite a lot of food..

Meal begins!!!

Right from the start, they bring out a lot of side dishes... the class is on another level!

Each one looks delicious~ It somehow feels like we came on a trip to Jeonju?

Every single side dish was seriously delicious!

The rolled omelet was tasty... but there were only two pieces, so that was a little disappointing ㅠㅠ

Really, I’m not saying this just to be polite.. it’s delicious, really delicious!!

And that’s how the full table was completed.

Just looking at it makes you feel full!!!!!

And there’s seafood everywhere, which is satisfying just to look at ^^

Looking at a few of the side dishes...

(To be honest, I don’t have photos because I kept eating since it was so good ㅠㅠ)

The soy sauce marinated shrimp were really delicious! I wanted to order more of those...

The fried flounder was also very satisfying with its plump flesh!!!

And the doenjang jjigae had crab in it, and the flavor was very well-balanced and good haha

The japchae was tasty too, and wrapping rice in seaweed with jeotgal on top was delicious!!!!!

Seriously, once you start eating, you keep going without even realizing your stomach is about to burst. Haha

1 serving of sea snail bibimbap set (25,000 won)

Bibimbap comes with freshly made marinated sea snails, and the sea snails are cold while the rice is warm — that’s the key point.

These days, even Eomdun’s Pocha can be delivered easily in Seoul..

But this freshly served sea snail bibimbap set tasted even better!

The second main dish is the marinated sea snail set.

Personally, I found the sea snail bibimbap set more delicious.

It has a sweet-and-tangy charm ^^

It had quite a lot of sea snails in it, so it was great as a side dish.

Still, the sea snail bibimbap is a bit more substantial. Haha

We really, really enjoyed our meal today!!!

Conclusion

If you like sea snail set meals, this is a place worth stopping by once!

Busan has so many delicious places. Every time I travel there, I look up a lot of restaurants in advance... but when I stay at Park Hyatt Busan, I end up so full from the hotel staycation that I don’t actually get to visit many local restaurants.

Still, Pungwonjang Kkomak Jeongchan was a place I found by chance while searching! I already like sea snails, but the other side dishes were also presented in a very flavorful way.

On a past trip to Gangneung, I also found a place that made delicious sea snail bibimbap like this, and I was happy to find a great restaurant like that in Busan as well. It’s a place with a charm that makes you keep eating without realizing how full you are ^^

I searched on Naver and it looks like they’re undergoing a renovation.

I hope they continue to thrive and keep serving delicious meals for a long time.
