[Lotte Hotel World] Dorim The Canton Table - Review of Chili Shrimp, Korean Beef Tenderloin Sweet and Sour Pork, and Crab Fried Rice. Recommended Chinese Restaurant in Jamsil with Private Room Reservations.

My wife and I are truly fond of Chinese restaurants.

So much so that after getting married, I may have gained about 10 kilograms...

This time, we visited another good Chinese restaurant.

Lotte Hotel World Dorim The Canton Table

If there is a "Dorim" at Lotte Hotel Seoul, then Lotte Hotel World has "Dorim The Canton Table."

It has a few more words added to it... I was curious whether this was an upgraded version or a downgraded version. haha

This time, we visited a Chinese restaurant, and also stopped by the lounge with the Lotte Diamond Card..^^

Location: 32F, 240 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul

Parking: Valet parking available. (Free parking for 3 hours, additional time with lounge use)

It is located at the Lotte Hotel in Jamsil, which we all know.

At 32 floors high, you might expect a pretty good view...

The downside is that it faces Signiel, so you can’t even quite see the middle of Signiel. haha

There is a lot to say about the valet staff, but I’ll keep it brief. Personally, it feels stricter than Lotte Hotel Seoul.

Parking is free for 3 hours when using the restaurant, and valet fees can be discounted with partner cards.

For Lotte Hotel properties, I naturally use the KB Heritage Reserve Card or the Hana Club 1 Card.

We stayed for about 5 hours in total since we went to the lounge after the Chinese restaurant...

The receipt from the Chinese restaurant didn’t work. They said we had to pay extra parking fees... But when we showed the lounge receipt, it fortunately worked. It’s a place that follows the rules a bit... strictly~..

Exterior

If you take the elevator located on one side and get off on the 32nd floor, you’ll find a table space styled in white marble.

This is Dorim The Canton Table. I wonder what it means...

Right next to it, they were promoting the Peking duck set menu.

Actually, while we were dining, we saw the group at the next table (a mother and son and daughter, and the mother was supposedly a famous model) having the Peking duck set, and it looked delicious!!...

That menu is 250,000 won, but if you order just the Peking duck alone, it is 180,000 won. Of course, Trevi Club discounts apply too..

The elegant hallway is quite impressive.

I was struck by how much space they made use of in the hallway.

Once you see the painting on the right, the hall on the right suddenly appears!

Interior

It’s a building with a somewhat low ceiling height, which is a bit disappointing.

Like Mondrian Hotel in Itaewon... there are limits that come with older buildings. ㅠㅠ

It has a view of the Jamsil apartments, a Signiel view, and a little bit of Seokchon Lake on the right. haha

When I took a photo after sitting down, it came out with this very clean look.

Clean tableware, sharp placement, and so on—I personally felt it had a more modern atmosphere than Dorim at Lotte Hotel Seoul.

The menu at Dorim The Canton Table at Lotte Hotel World was so long that...

I only took a quick photo of the page with the dishes we ordered. ^^

We ordered the chili shrimp. I wanted to compare it with the chili shrimp at Dorim in Lotte Hotel Seoul, which costs 85,000 won.

If the quality seemed similar, then we could just come here....?

And my wife’s favorite, Korean beef tenderloin sweet and sour pork, was also ordered. It had to taste good at that price...

And even though it wasn’t on the menu, we added XO crab fried rice.

Let the meal begin!!!

A pleasant appetizer appeared.

It felt like a chilled mapo tofu (!) of some sort, and as soon as I took a bite, my appetite immediately opened up~ It was a very pleasant service.

Chili shrimp (65,000 won)

This is the one we came to eat today, the main character: chili shrimp!

It felt completely, completely different from Dorim at Lotte Hotel Seoul.

As a Trevi Club member of the Lotte Hotel membership, this is one of the places I really like, and Dorim’s chili shrimp at Lotte Hotel Seoul has a much crispier feel!

On the other hand, the chili shrimp at Dorim The Canton Table at Lotte Hotel World has plenty of sauce.

It feels similar to Hongyeon at The Westin Josun Seoul.

There were 13 fried shrimp in total.

Compared to Dorim at Lotte Hotel Seoul, which gives about 8–9 pieces for 85,000 won... the Dorim in Jamsil is more than 1.5 times more generous. Almost double... great value for money!!!...

It is tasty, but personally, I didn’t really like how the batter felt a bit heavy from being soaked in sauce. haha

(Still, I finished it all deliciously..)

Korean beef tenderloin sweet and sour pork (78,000 won)

The second dish is Korean beef tenderloin sweet and sour pork.

The sauce is served separately, so you can pour it over or dip the pieces.

I prefer a hybrid. Let’s pour the sauce on just one side and try it...

I poured the sauce nicely in this kind of way and picked one up to try.

At 78,000 won for one plate, of course it has to be delicious, right?

In my personal opinion, it was a delicious sweet and sour pork with a pleasantly sweet taste that didn’t need to be any tastier than this.

But I’ve always preferred sweet and sour pork made with pork that has a bit of pork smell... haha....

When the final XO crab fried rice appeared, all of today’s dishes had been served.

XO crab fried rice (32,000 won)

As you can tell at a glance, this is a truly excellent fried rice that is very, very, very well stir-fried.

In plain terms, it’s the kind of fried rice that’s stir-fried until really loose and fluffy?

Seriously, great great... it is expensive, but this is truly worth it...

I took photos twice because I wondered how to make it look more delicious,

and the crab meat inside the fried rice was so generously packed in... the more I pushed the spoon inward, the more crab meat came out. It was a very satisfying dish. ^^

After finishing roughly everything, the staff let us choose one madeleine.

It had a quality that felt like it belonged in fine dining :)

I picked the red one, but the taste wasn’t very red.. haha

Lotte Hotel World... (the name doesn’t roll off the tongue very well. Jamsil Lotte!!) I like the lounge here.. it always has some kind of concept...

When I entered the lounge on the lobby floor, I saw SpongeBob.. haha

Since we came out for a little outing today, we might as well do some homework too..? haha

If you are someone who received the Lotte Diamond Card (which has now been discontinued..), please stop by here and use your two free drink vouchers!! In my opinion, they serve drinks in prettier cups than Banyan Tree or Lotte Main Branch, and they give you more and it tastes better too. haha

Plus, butter cookies are a bonus... it was such a pleasant place.

The strawberry cake is 28,000 won at full price, and while Trevi Club gives a 20% discount, you also have to pay a 3,000 won seat charge separately.

That means it comes to about 25,000 won.

If they put strawberries this deliciously on top, I guess it’s acceptable even if it’s a bit expensive... that’s how tasty it was ^^:;;;

Anyway... a review of a happy five-hour outing~~~~

We really ate well and had a delicious time today.!!!

Conclusion

Dorim at Lotte Hotel Seoul and Dorim in Jamsil were very different places.

I had been to La Seine at Lotte Hotel World before, but interestingly, this was my first visit in my life to the Chinese restaurant Dorim.

First of all, the open view felt nice! Unlike the main branch Dorim, which has many different buildings in view, this one had an apartment view, but thanks to the lower apartment buildings, the open feeling was a little better..

The food style was more different than I expected. If the main branch is a bit more fried and spicy, the Jamsil location has a style with more sauce and a moister feel.

Still, both were of course delicious. haha It was nice because it felt quiet and private.

Of course, if you have the Lotte Hotel Trevi Club membership, you can get a 20% discount. So in the end, the chili shrimp came to 52,000 won, the Korean beef tenderloin sweet and sour pork to 62,400 won, and the XO crab fried rice to 25,600 won... it is a bit expensive, but I think it was reasonably enjoyed at a five-star hotel.

Very friendly service and a modern, clean space. If you go to the website,

there are rooms like this as well. It seems like a really great place for gatherings, more than I expected.

I’d like to say that this is a place worth considering when you have time for a nice day out in Jamsil. ^^
