[RETREAT SIGNIEL Spa] RETREAT: Comparing It with Four Seasons. The Lounge Is Always a Bit Disappointing (Feat. Signiel Club)

Today I’d like to briefly introduce a review of the spa at Signiel Seoul, “RETREAT.”

There are two basic 70-minute massage coupons included in the Signiel Club membership I received before, so this is a review of how my wife and I enjoyed them.

I had previously visited for dinner, and recently I went to the Japanese restaurant for lunch and even met JYP!!

Wow. I’m grateful that I was able to be in the same space as such a famous person in my life. haha

RETREAT Signiel Spa

It’s a little hard to search for. Even if you search for “Retreat” or “Signiel Spa,” it doesn’t come up easily..

The official name is RETREAT Signiel Spa. At Signiel Busan, there is RETREAT Signiel Busan.

I’m going to make a simple comparison post with the Four Seasons Spa I visited at the end of last year~

First, after handing your car to valet at the main entrance of Signiel Seoul, you are dropped off on the 79th floor where the lounge and concierge are located.

You need to take another elevator to the 86th floor to reach RETREAT Signiel Spa.

The stylish stone wall, so very Signiel, has the sign prominently displayed.

Today is the youngest you’ll ever be, so make sure to take photos. haha

The program prices are briefly listed right in front of Retreat. It’s roughly 300,000 KRW per hour.

The waiting area is also modern and stylish.

Four Seasons Seoul Spa

The Four Seasons was also quite clean, but I preferred the brighter and more spacious atmosphere of Signiel Seoul.

You can also take a quick look at the amenities.

They serve tea that helps with a simple detox.

You can slowly drink the tea while checking your health status.

Then you can go right in.

The size of the changing room space is similar.

However, Signiel was a couple’s room, while I went to Four Seasons alone.. so there may be a difference. haha

The Signiel shower room can be used if you request it.

That probably means they give the customer a little more time?

However, Four Seasons requires advance reservation and there is an additional charge.

If you only think about the price.. once the extra charge is added, the prices become similar.

Personally, I liked Signiel’s amenities much more.

The scent was really nice. I even took a photo so I could buy and use it myself. haha

This is the view of the couple’s room seen from the changing room. There is actually more space to the right.

If you raise the blinds, a stunning view like the one you’d see from an airplane opens up.

So the room is quite spacious!!!!

The jacuzzi is said to include a treatment program. We didn’t use it.

Since there were facilities that seemed to provide subtle lighting, I think it would have a nice atmosphere even if you visited when it’s dark.

The left one is made in Korea, and the right one is made in France. You can’t tell just by looking, right....?

Depending on the program you use, the amenities you use are determined.

The massage itself was excellent.

Personally, the program itself was quite similar to Four Seasons, but I felt the therapist was better.

It’s not easy to do a massage that uses the fingers as much as expected... so I was thankful for the careful treatment.

I would definitely visit again.

After the massage, they let you spend time with your companions in a very, very private space like this while enjoying tea and refreshments.

This also has a view outside the window.. and they didn’t rush us no matter how long we stayed.

For the amount charged, the service mindset was truly the best.

This is the price list for RETREAT Signiel Seoul Spa.

First, they operate a membership system.

Depending on whether you prepay 300, 700, or 1000, the amount of points you earn differs.

And they give you some STAY meal vouchers. I’m not sure if that’s really a benefit...

(As mentioned earlier, Signiel Club members get a permanent 10% discount, and if you use the prepaid membership, you get 13% point accumulation.)

The photo on the right is the price list, but.. just by looking at it, you can’t tell what the program is...

Unfortunately, you’ll have to try them one by one to find the one that suits you..^^;

Signiel Seoul Lounge

If you visit on a weekday, you can use the lounge without a reservation. haha

When I said I wanted to eat, they gave us a spacious seat~~

The pre-meal bread my wife and I love the most!

Eating that butter on bread made with French flour is a blessing~ lol

It’s really delicious. Let’s eat and then eat some more!

Today we ordered two dishes.

Ricotta Tomato Spaghetti (48,000 KRW)

Escofier Cheeseburger and Truffle French Fries (beef: U.S. tenderloin) (58,000 KRW)

That’s over 100,000 KRW. Of course, with a Signiel Club membership, you get a 10% discount.

It’s delicious. Even after the discount, it’s well over 40,000 KRW.

But I think it should be even better. The food at the Signiel Seoul Lounge somehow lacks that wow factor. ㅠㅠㅠ

Truffle fries are always delicious. haha

Well, they’re packed with expensive ingredients...

The potatoes seem to be imported, and because the quality is good, the dense texture is nice.

The burger tastes similar to one I had on a trip to San Francisco 10 years ago.

It seems like they put a lot of U.S. tenderloin in the middle, but personally, paying this price feels a bit~~ lol

Anyway, it was tasty, but this is a review with quite a lot of disappointment. haha

In my personal opinion, RETREAT Signiel Seoul Spa seems to be top-class among the spas at five-star hotels in Seoul.

With the Shilla Hotel spa gone, and Josun Palace outsourcing to The Trinity, I want to give high marks to Signiel Seoul, which is directly operated in-house.

Honestly, it feels so private that I wonder whether it can generate much profit.

I strongly recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay a little more for a truly very, very private experience.

Go once for a special occasion^^ lol
